Snail Eradicator
I use this to dip aquarium plants, rocks, wood etc to eradicate pest aquarium snails. It works perfectly, 1 tablespoon per gallon and soak everything for 3 days then rinse it off. Doesn't harm plants but kills not only snails but more importantly snail eggs too. Best method out there, works 100% of the time.

Potassium Alum
It's worth pointing out that this is potassium aluminium sulphate, KAl(SO4)2 - at lease mine was. Everything else was satisfactory.

Multiple uses
I bought this as a solution for ants. Mixing 1 part to 9 parts sugar was great for them to take it back to their nests as my garden suffers from multiple ant nests and I've finally got annoyed by all their mounds

Fine alum
Good although they should add an extra layer of plastic just in case it rips in transit. Used for marbling and science crystal projects.

Finally!!! The alum powder Iโve been searching for!
A Lifesaver After Being Sent the Wrong Product Multiple Times Be warned: many products are mislabeled as "Alum Powder" but are not the potassium aluminum sulfate needed for crystal growing. I learned this the hard way after three failed and non-returnable (alum = food product) orders. This Jacquard Alum Powder, however, is absolutely correct. The proof was in the dissolving. Unlike the others that did not dissolve, no matter what I tried, this melted completely into hot water to form a crystal-clear supersaturated solution. The growth process was swift and successful, resulting in stunning crystal clusters without having to repeatedly filter a cloudy solution - full of undissolved powder and impurities - like I experienced with other brands. The higher price of this Alum is justified by its purity and effectiveness. The quality control is exceptional, with no leftover particulates to ruin the solution. Don't waste your money on cheaper impostersโthis is the one you need. Highly recommend!powderโs

Witchcraft to remove a broken drill from copper bar ๐ค๐
Arrived 1 day before first estimation, not bad. On line tracking I would say next to useless. Used the product to remove a broken drill out of copper bar. Worked perfectly. Excellent stuff. Will remember for next time. ๐

Good for removing broken taps.
It worked perfectly for removing broken taps. The solution needs to be saturated and kept close to the boiling point. The alum will corrode the iron in the tap and it will turn it into that black, spongy, brittle stuff, seen on the paper towel. That makes it easy to clean and to re-tap. Obviously, the part needs to be non-ferrous, in my case it was ToughMet. The reaction creates those bubbles that can be seen on the inside of the part in the video. For my application the tap was corroded in approx. four hours, so be patient and keep replacing the evaporated water every now and then. There are people recommending an aluminium container. I used a glass container and I put a piece of aluminium in the solution. If I am not wrong, the aluminium that is displaced from the alum salt needs to go somewhere, so it was probably deposited onto the aluminium piece (this is my personal opinion, as a non-chemist). To create a saturated solution like the one in the video I used just over one pound of alum salt.
