Bialetti Moka Express Aluminium Stovetop Coffee Maker, Silver, 1 Cup

I bought a 6 cup one a while back, and decided to get a 1 cup pot just for me. A great coffee pot, authentic, and looks lovely on the stove. No plastic pods to create waste and gimmickie machines. Just straight forward proper coffee.

Does the job just fine. Good quality product. I would say it is definitely smaller than I thought though. Single espresso shot is fine but doesn't fill a large espresso cup. Just something to note. Maybe the larger size if you're like me and need that double shot!

Excellent stove top coffee maker, easy to use and clean, fabulous coffee (if you use decent coffee to start with) and pretty much every part can be replaced. My dad had a Bialetti moka pot he used every day for 60 years with occasional rubber seal and metal filter replacement. This is a design icon that is built as well as it was when my dad got his in the 1940s.

I was in the market for cappuccino/espresso maker. It was getting too expensive to buy them in sachets from the supermarket. I spotted this in a You tube video and instantly started looking it up on amazon. A great place to find all kinds of items. Arrived quickly as expected. First impression... the tiniest thing I ever saw! I order the one cup size, thinking I might not like it. It didn’t fit on the hob, so I couldn’t try it without a hob reducer. It produce a third of my coffee mug in mocha. Though I knew there would only be little, I was sort of dissatisfied looking down into my usual mug. BLAM!! Such a brilliant and aromatic cup of coffee. I don’t add milk or sugars, Smoky undertones and caramel smoothness. Flavours I wouldn’t ever taste if stuck to the same coffee routine. And I mean “routine “ as in it has changed my whole morning to start with and times throughout the day too. I didn’t add milk or sugar. Cleaning is easy and uncomplicated. You can remove the rubber gasket and clean inside the spout. The gasket can be replaced. Available from many amazon sellers. My only real gripe is that it’s difficult to remove the basket you fill the ground coffee in. It sometimes is quite finicky. Especially when you want another cup and the pot is still hot. And I’m still trying to understand that, had I opted for the six cup pot, how I would keep the rest of the coffee warm. It is only me who enjoys this delicious goodness. as the coffee filters through the spout, from the bottom compartment into the top leaving the bottom compartment empty therefore it would not conduct any heat. I would recommend this to anyone new to making coffee using freshly ground coffee beans. You Can add hot water if the coffee is too strong. Get the 4 cup version then you can enjoy several cups without having to wash up every time in between.

Item promptly dispatched, well packed. If you like an espresso now and again this little coffee maker is just the ticket. The item is quite small and you will probably need to get a little trivet if you use a gas stove as coffee maker is too small to fit on normal gas stove ring. Most iron mongers stock them, just ask for the gadget to heat small pans on a gas stove. Do not use full heat as you will damage the handle and rubber ring. As the item is so small the heat has a chance to warm the whole pot. Use a warm cup and you will have a most acceptable espresso.

I love this espresso maker - it makes one cup which is perfect. I have a cafetiere for when I want a longer drink and have a a 3 cup Bialetti for those times when I am making for a couple of people. Most of time however I prefer and espresso and usually it is only me who wants one - this maker is therefore great. Before I bought it I was wondering if it would be too small for even the smallest gas ring but I need not have worried as it was fine. I have found that I can have the gas turned up almost full and the flame still does not come beyond the end of the pot.

Make no mistake, this is the original and best Moka pot. Don't make the mistake of buying a really cheap one - the one I was given nearly drove me mad trying to get consistent results. The Bialetti gives perfect results every time and is easy to clean and maintain. Plus you have the advantage of spare parts being available. A true design classic in every way that has stood the test of time - do not hesitate to buy!

I've always used this Bialetti and as soon as it arrived I've noticed that it is lighter than the others and didn’t come in the Bialetti box as in the picture. The price is not cheap at all.

Ho preso la versione da 1 tazza per evitare sprechi quando non serve la moka grande, e devo dire che è diventata la più usata in casa. La quantità reale: Molti dicono che la "1 tazza" sia minuscola, ma per noi è la dose ideale. Eroga circa una tazzina abbondante di caffè; noi spesso riusciamo a dividerla in due per un caffè "al volo" tipo ristretto da bar, forte e caldo al punto giusto. È perfetta perché non avanza mai nulla e si beve sempre caffè appena fatto, non riscaldato. Velocità e praticità: Essendo piccola, l'acqua va in ebollizione in un attimo ⏱️. La qualità costruttiva è la solita garanzia Bialetti: alluminio solido e il manico che non scotta. Un consiglio pratico: Attenzione solo al fornello: la base è stretta, quindi sulla maggior parte delle griglie a gas serve necessariamente il riduttore per farla stare stabile 🔥. Ovviamente, ricordate che non va sull'induzione 🚫.
