As expected for the price the “Damascus” effect is lasered on, and looks very nice. It arrived very sharp and ready to use. The handle is not the comfiest of all the knifes I own but it’s up there. (I have very big hands so it’s a difficult fit) The product is packaged well. Arrived on time with prime delivery

I'm not a professional chef, but I do enjoy cooking a lot. well balanced and so sharp it's the best knife I've ever used. I really was in awe how good this knife is, and the presentation box is really nice I find myself using the knife and after use putting it back in the display box. Buy one you won't be disappointed.

so the knife is good - very sharp comes in a box (no not a "nice box" but come on people you paying £... not £££) but still a fair respectable box. the handle is solid etc etc so all round a good knife - only bug bear is the "folded steel print" yes its a print ... I know that to expect a folded hand worked steel knife for the price i paid is silly (bordering upon ridiculousness) but why pretend it is, i don't know if it has laser markings to make it look like its folded steel but its not ... so now it goes from being a good solid , very usable, reliable knife to a "imitation" of a more expensive knife .. why ? The knife is good , holds an edge and Im very happy with it - but why the "imitation / fake" laser etching? its like a putting a Porsche badge on a Mazda... nothing wrong with a Mazda... but when some one (or you get close and realise) its just a "badge" you feel cheated ... to a small degree. take away the fake laser etchings and it would be a 5* review - good solid knife,with good handle and presented well.

Having a large selection of Sabiter knives and the top of the range pro cook ones, I thought this could be a 50/50 purchase. The knife is a delight to use, comes in a nice presentation box, very sharp upon arrival and has been slicing through many things for weeks now. Draws through chicken like it was butter. For the price this is quite a bargain, if it stands the test of time and my kitchen it will be a steal.

It's a very nice knife, and very sharp, but it is NOT damascus steel. The patterns you see have been produced by an engraving process, the pattern of small dots is easily seen with a magnifier. Making damascus steel requires time and skill, this just requires a computer controlled laser. So if you want the real thing, be ready to pay much more. This product description says damascus PATTERN. It's just decorative.

Ordered and received day after, well packed. As this is my first chef type knife I can say so far so good. Chopped up vegetables with little effort for today's meal. I hope this quality stands up to use. No idea how long it will keep its edge, I have no wish to use a sharpener on such a nice looking knive. Only time will tell.

A great knife for the price, really sharp out of the box, lovely pattern on the blade and the wooden handle is comfy and seamlessly blends with the rest of the knife. If they sold other types of kitchen knives I'd buy them too! BTW, not sure why some people would think it's Damascus steel for this price, because it's not, it's an etched design but still looks great.

the blade is good, razor sharp out of the box and the handle seems to be well made, the steel has a good ring to it when tapped on metal, sadly the layered effect is printed on and will not last long, but as said its a good knife for the price. time will tell how long it holds its edge for.
