Winsor & Newton, Art Masking Fluid, 75ml

Great product. It flows well, and does exactly what it says it will do. I've never used masking fluid before and I was very pleased as the little bunting flags on the painting I've attached, needed to be masked, while I did the sky and the buildings. I barely used any of the 75ml, so I'm sure it'll last me the year. It does ruin the paintbrush though. It won't come out once it's in the bristles. So be prepared to keep one or two brushes just for this use. I was also pleased that the latex came off really easily days after it was applied - I'm a slow painter.

As expected

I haven’t tested any other types of masking fluid so I can’t compare - but this did what I wanted it to do. I’ve tried on watercolour and mixed media papers and hasn’t stained, even when left for several days before removing. Make sure that it is absolutely bone dry if you make a mistake before attempting to remove or it WILL destroy your paper underneath.

I’ve used this masking fluid for a few watercolour paintings now and it works perfectly to allow painting layers and keeping areas paint free until adding final touches. It has a creamy colour once dried so easy to identify masked areas and rubs off easily with a soft rubber. I keep a separate old brush for applying the fluid.

Il prodotto è arrivato nei tempi stabili, in perfette condizioni. L'ho subito provato e sono stata felice di constatare che effettivamente fa quello che promette. Il liquido va applicato sul foglio asciutto, e va lasciato asciugare prima di passarci sopra il colore, insomma basta leggere le poche indicazioni riportate sulla boccetta per avere un giusto risultato. Avevo letto che a molti la carta si era addirittura strappata! Io, invece, non ho trovato assolutamente difficile rimuovere il prodotto una volta asciutto, anzi è venuto via molto facilmente. L'unica pecca è il dover stare attenti al pennello che si utilizza, perché la maschera si asciuga rapidamente e altrettanto rapidi dovrete essere voi a lavare il pennello, altrimenti vi toccherà buttarlo. Alla fine basta prestare attenzione a tali accorgimenti e magari utilizzare un pennello "basta sia". L'odore è un po' forte, è vero, ma se consideriamo il tempo effettivo di utilizzo della maschera è totalmente sopportabile. Male che vada utilizzatelo in un luogo ventilato se proprio non lo sopportate. Ad ogni modo lo consiglio vivamente, è un prodotto ottimo e davvero utile.

J'avais essayé une autre marque qui arrachait le papier et là ce n'est pas du tout le cas. Facile à "peler" t laisse aucune marque sur le papier. Très satisfaite

It was pretty good, and I was pleased with the price for what you get, however I did find an equally reputable brand from Walmart for cheaper with the same amount. It does tear the paper a bit as well, but overall I was glad I bought and it came in when expected.

A máscara quando utilizada, ao ser retirada, não danifica a superfície do papel, o que é um ponto extremamente positivo, vale ressaltar. Considero o produto de ótimo custo-benefício, pois o tamanho de 75ml garante que você pague uma única vez e use por muitos anos e o cheiro dessa máscara não é tão forte. Compra aprovada!

Works great! I use this to cover spots on my paper before using watercolor over it. It does a fine job. The paintbrush occasionally rubbed it off a little if i brushed a little too hard but thats technically what its supposed to do. Great product. I'd definitely recommend to my art friends!
