Revell Liquid Contacta Professional Glue 25 g

Much better than the junk that games workshop sells for their plastic model kits, this plastic glue is also better value, the metal applicator tube is its best feature because it allows you to be super accurate on parts of models with minimal contact points and helps stop you slathering way too much of the glue all over your expensive model kit. That leads on to good value point number 2, because you're being careful not to slather your glue everywhere, the applicator saves you replacing the glue more often than you'd like, i.e, it allows you to be frugal with the glue you use and one bottle will last ages. other than that? it's a bottle of plastic glue, it does its job, cures very quickly and comes with a plastic cap so the needle doesn't dry and clog up. great piece of hobby kit.

VERY GOOD

The design and needle nozzle is great, but the glue didn't stick the pieces of my model that I was hoping for. It was bought for precision and that worked fine, but I need to discover what materials it will stick together before giving it 5 stars. Had to use super-glue in the end.

perfect... gives a bond strenth the same as the material it self and is very easy to use . the glue does flow as it is not overly thick plus i like the functionality of the bottle with the thin metal tube..

Excellent for fine work

The glue has the consistency of water and the slightest pressure on the side of the container will eject a droplet (or more) from the end of teh applicator nozzle. The applicator nozzle is what puts this head and shoulders above the rest of the polystyrene glues. It's a hollow metal needle with a blunt end. It is also relatively long so you can control the application of the glue to a very fine degree - but you do need to master how much pressure to use. it is very easy, until you get used to it, to apply far too much, so practice on scrap before using it. Highly recommended, though one small caveat. The applicator tends to glue itself to the cap, so when you remove the cap, you remove the applicator from the glue bottle and there is very little of the applicator to get a purchase on to work it out of the cap.

Bit pricey

My first time buying/using this adhesive and I'm really impressed. For precision application of adhesive this product is great, the needle is quite long and thin which allows you to apply a precise drop - the design is perfect for having to apply adhesive in deeply recessed parts. The parts i've applied the adhesive too have bonded well, and there isnt a lot of mess either like what other adhesives i've used have left me with, one of the parts is a atmospheric temperature control dial which sees a lot of use and forces exerted on it as it's linked to a servo and the part hasn't failed - where as i've used "top grade" epoxys which failed on this very same part after curing for 72 hours, this adhesive bonded and cured and was ready for use within 8 hours without me needing to sand the parts and treat them with solvents. Incredible stuff!

First thing people should know. Is you may have to heat the metal needle to get glue to flow. On the first time anyway. It is a perfect glue for fine tiny metal parts and accurate placement. It does dry quickly and holds hard. Definitely recommended for super fine model detailed. And for general purpose plastic model building it works fine for that too. I’m heating the needle. All you need is a lighter and heat the needle for about three or four seconds and glue will flow.
