Best Game Ever!
GTA V has to be the best game that I have played on my XBOX. Obviously the graphics, plot and game play are amazing. The characters are believable and well scripted. Trevor is my favourite at the moment. I find him hilarious and disturbing at the same time. I love the fact that you can play as three people. It helps you to explore the huggge map better and get more out of the game. There are many more things to do than on previous GTA's. I am having a lot of fun completing the 'Strangers and Freaks' missions and other activities such as the Street Races and Triathlons. I am missing certain aspects of San Andreas such as the Robbery missions, where you could bur-gal peoples houses and stuff. That was really fun... but I am not missing it that much. There is too much stuff distracting me to worry about that. The only thing I have found that annoys me is that when your Garages are full you have to remove a car to put another one in. I did this and when I got outside the car I wanted to place in the garage had disappeared. I now ensure I have extra room in case. I have not yet completed the game but I think have nearly finished the main missions, I am definitely going to be playing it after I have finished the main missions. And I am waiting for online of course! This is the best game ever! I am adding this bit onto the review as I finished the game a while ago. I still stand by my review and I will say again that this is the best game ever. Apart from the trouble with online at first, where I was tempted to play something else. However, online is now fixed and I love it again. You can do missions online, rob stores, join crews and continue creating havoc as you did in GTA IV. I have not yet fully explored online and its options but I do like messing around with my friends on it. The only thing that did annoy me about online is the fact it takes quite a while to do the tutorial and set up a character. Although the modifying your character option is a nice touch I don't think it should be a required, meaning you should be able to pick a random character like on GTA IV. But that is me just being really picky... The tutorial seemed a bit pointless to me as I was dying to play online and explore but I can't complain too much as it is a nice touch for new players who have gone straight to online without playing the main campaign. Although, I do not know who would miss out on that experience. Overall, I still stand by my rating and recommend this to anyone who loves GTA and wants to experience awesome game play - online or offline.

Best GTA game yet
GTA 5 has had a massive improvement from GTA 4, The graphics are greatly improved and you are also given the option to choose between 3 characters, which you was not able to do in previous games. Even though the story line is unrealistic, it is still great. One of my favorite things in GTA 5 was the heists, you were able to set up heists the way YOU want to, and you get to choose who comes with you. You can choose cheap but crap, or expensive but good, however the cheap ones skill gradually increases per heist, and their percentage of the score stays the same. GTA 5 has a whole new customization option, you are able to choose between different clothes and outfits, in previous GTA games, all characters wear the same clothes. There is also a big variety of car upgrades you are able to choose, just like in games such as Forza or Need for speed. You can design your car and clothes the way YOU want. You are also able to upgrade weapons, such as putting scopes on snipers or extended mags on LMG's etc. Many GTA fans say that San Andreas was the best GTA game, some still say it is the best, but in my opinion this is the best game they have made so far for this franchise. If I had to point out one flaw though, it would be that when driving, especially on a motorbikes, NPCs will be driving their cars and will just pull out straight in front of you, if you are trying to get away from police this can be extremely frustrating and whats worse, if you are on a bike, you will knocked of without a doubt, also, they took away a feature from NPCs cars from GTA 4, INDICATORS, if Rockstar left indicators in, you would be able to see where cars are going and would easily be able to avoid hitting the car . This is another point I should mention, they have not improved the bike driving at all, some may argue that it is realistic but it is extremely annoying, you will notice when driving a bike, the SLIGHTEST tap, will make you fall off, I noticed this within a few hours of playing GTA 5. This can also be annoying when trying to get away from police. I also feel that police have ruined the game slightly, I got GTA 5 on the realease day, and one thing I noticed is that to get away from police you would have to stay out of their sites for about 30 seconds. However, I then noticed that a month down the line, Rockstar updated this and made the waiting time at least in a minute, if not two depending on your wanted level. I can remember when I was being chased by police, I had a 4 star wanted level, I was hiding in a car around a factory where they couldn't see me and I started to count, the helicopter was right near me but could not see me, I counted at least 2 minutes and was thinking, surely I will loose my wanted level, but I didn't. My point is that even if you have a wanted level, even if the police are near you, you cant escape them unless they are far away. I am almost adamant of this. GTA Online I will keep this brief, GTA online is extremely fun, Apart from the problems that Rockstar had when the online was released, it seems that every update there is always some annoying glitch that gets put in, and whats worse, it will get fixed but on the same update another glitch will form. 3 months down the line of it being released I occasionally got stuck in loading screens, even though Rockstar supposedly fixed this at the start of GTA online

Amazingly deep, gorgeous and enjoyable game
A lot of people (including) had very high expectations for the sequel to 2008's Grand Theft Auto IV and I'm happy to say the newest installment in the series certainly does not disappoint! The game builds on all the strengths of the previous games and brings a lot of depth into the sandbox action genre. The inclusion of 3 characters, each with their own individual stats that can be improved during gameplay adds a nice RPG-element to the mix, and it's always incredible to see these 3 characters working together on the same missions, allowing you to switch between them at will. The 3 characters (Michael, Franklin and Trevor) have their own separate lives and the 'Big Brother' style of dropping in on any of them at any time really makes you feel like you have control over them (and you do!). You can dress them up how you like, get them tattoos, new hairstyle, facial hair, etc. The game brings back a popular element that we first saw in Vice City/San Andreas, the ability to buy businesses and let them generate income for you, well it's back! Also, a welcome return is the flying of planes! They add a turbulence element into the flying now so it feels a little more authentic. Flying a helicopter is quite difficult at first but won't take you long to get used to it. The map is massive. A lot of detail went into the game, and it shows the extent of which Rockstar went to create a living, breathing world, even the rural areas of the map are a blast to zip through in a sports convertible. The centre stage is of course, the main urban Los Santos area during which most of your time will be spent and it looks absolutely gorgeous. A little side note for Xbox 360 owners, to elaborate more on the whole 'install/don't install' fiasco, the playing disc can be installed to your console if you like, though this will bring about some texture popins as the game takes a little longer to load up certain textures than if it was reading from the disc, I have seen videos which also showed texture popins during cut scenes but this didn't seem to affect me (only during actual gameplay, and very minor at that). It is a somewhat noticeable difference, but no means is it bad enough to warrant not installing it, so go ahead and install it if you're like me and don't like the console making noise equivalent to a jet engine! I did encounter other technical hitches, but I am not sure if that was down to me installing the disc or if it was inherent in the game that Rockstar can fix with a patch. I didn't notice any framerate drops or frame tearing with and without the play disc installed so that's a bonus! The mission structure is mostly unchanged from GTA IV in that you meet new characters, they give you tasks to do, etc. The heists are where the game gets really interesting. There are a number of robberies you carry out, and the game tries it's best to let you decide how to approach the heist, the individual crew members you bring with you, etc. A lot of the time this simply culminates in a 'stealthy' or a 'guns blazing' approach, but it definitely gives the vibe that things will play out differently based on your choices. There are optional side quests where you can meet additional characters that give you tasks, and tons more optional activities like car races, jet ski races, skydiving, taxi driving, etc. When Rockstar said this will be the biggest game in terms of sheer content, they weren't lying! You can probably squeeze at least 80 hours, or more, out of this game if you attempt to do everything the game has to offer so you certainly get your money's worth. Overall, this is a fantastic addition to an already great series and will certainly keep the flame burning until the eventual Grand Theft Auto VI on the next gen consoles. Right, that's me done, I'm off to murder me some hillbillies as Trevor.

Sequel 101 (Get this on to PC dammit!!!!)
When it comes to making a fitfth installation of a game the best so far, rockstar writes the book on it. After all it is not all genres that generate the more excitement than it did when it was kicking ass 10 (yes ten) years ago. If we look at the Halos, The CODs even the battlefields we can see interest waining as the feeling of deja vu comes again and again. But yet GTA 5 seems immune to this, and it is no coincedence the developers have displayed another master class, and I will explain why. I won't bother with the stero typical review, its all probably been done a hundred times over, all i will concentrate on is how RS has kept gamer coming back for more.!! 1. Building on foundations - Many condemn gta 4 to being a step back compared to SA as it was completely stripped down in comparison. I do not... San Andreas was an end of an era and an end of a generation, GT4 was a rebuilding of this in two key areas a. A new graphics and physics engine that needed to be be built and tested in small scale. b. The online system, a new entity in the GTA world and something that has to definitely be handled smaller before going large. GTA 5 has used the GT4 foundations to build a behemoth. They have improved on practically every aspect. The scale of the game, the shooting physics, the driving physics and yes the online play. Basically they have learnt there lesson on everything before and showed maturity in listening to what people feedback. 2. Using a wining formula - It is no coincidence GTA is the leading selling game EVER. it has happened before and it was exactly the same thing.... San Andreas... this was also the highest sold game at that time and it was exactly the same formula, Massive title released at the end of a consoles life (for maximum penetration). Both title offered everything its direct predessesors did and much much more. 3. Pain staking detail - This GTA world is not vibrant... it is literally alive, stand around a busy junction doing nothing for half an hour and youll see a torrent of comical events. Robberies, car jacking, police arrest and yes people having a hysterical and random conversations, I even got hit on the pavement by a hit and run. Watch the sun set and youll see your shadow move with the sunlight, and the street lights flicker on with brilliant lighting effect. Graphics is not perfect as pop up aliasing still occurs but hey, it really squeezing the most out of this old machine. 4. Non spaming the franchise - Rockstar in most part does two things differently with there franchise than the CODS, Saints row etc. And those are not to flood the market with their franchise game and ensuring that what they do release is 100% quality. In the age of DLC being used to finish off mediocre franchise releases since developers are under time frame pressure Roackstar take a step back, tell their publishers to stick there deadlines where the sun doesnt shine and go about making the best game they possibly can, if only more people did this gaming would be in a much better place. 5. Doing something new - Well the heist element of the game the game is actually not new, it is something that came from the vegas robbery heist in San Andreas. But now it has been brought to the fore front. And what a fantastic thing too. There is nothing better than putting a plan together for it to culminate into a perfectly executed master plan. The system of choices (whether you choose the crap working colleagues that will mess up or the good ones that won't) is slightly too simplistic but the overall issue is fantastic. SO other developer, get your pen out and take note. If you want your franchise to still generate the hype it had from before then this is how to do it. Its not rocket science, it is just simple things done well and love poured into the work.

Fantastic single player experience.
GTA needs no introduction. Grand Theft Auto 5 is leaps and bounds ahead off its predecessor (Want to go bowling?). The graphics truly stretch what the 360 is capable of and are stunning to say the least. The drawn distance is impressive with very little pop up. The game also runs very smooth with minimal slow down or screen tearing. The single player is fantastic and will keep you enthralled for hours, going from insane mission to insane mission all the way to the climactic ending. The driving physics have been vastly improved over GTA 4s driving around in a boat mechanics, vehicle models look great and can take more punishment than past games. The shooting/aiming system has also been tightened and makes for a much more enjoyable experience. Now to the reason the game lost a star.......GTA Online. Whilst the online component will give you a fair few hours of enjoyment starting out, it soon becomes in my opinion a repetitive grind to rank up and get money for in game purchases. The online is setup to try and sell as many shark cards as possible (for real money) to allow you to bypass this grind and as I don't support this kind of business practice can't say I approve. The glorified Heists they added are just well disguised fetch missions that require a full lobby of players to begin and you then have to hope nobody quits (if playing with randoms) as the mission will fail and end. Then the fact they ended online support for the 360 version, the console it was made for and launched on, was to me quite an insult. Considering most of the updates to the online portion are playlists and small additions to the game. The biggest problem I had was the backtrack on the single player DLC. A game like this truly deserves a single player add on, it has so much potential for exploring different characters and backgrounds from the rich story it told. As personally I don't think the game has much longevity online I was sorely disappointed by this. It just put a big fat bee in my bonnet about the direction Rockstar took and chose to continue supporting the online component and forgo the single player expansion. But to avoid ending on a low point....... GTA 5 has been out a long time by now, but if you still haven't played it I highly recommended it. The single player is outstanding and is worth the price alone. Personally I was disappointed by the online side of things but other people really enjoy it and you might too!

Deer, oh dear deer
Before buying this I thought it was over hyped because on face value it looked same as other GTA's and wasn't going to pay 40 plus pounds for it (paid 29.99). However it deserve its 5 stars because its simply so much fun to play. The story is great (only done 1 heist so far which had a italian job vibe to it), playing 3 characters is great and the side missions are a blast to play. There is a red dead redemption/GTA 3 vibe to it. If you go into the mountains It really does feel like red dead. What makes it better than other GTA's is the sheer amount of things to do and the attention detail. I've played for a while now and still come across surprising things (one time I came a cross a load of dead bodies and a briefcase (contained 5k) which I simply had to take, then some very pissed off dudes chased me). The sandbox is great, you can own buisness's, rob stores/armoured cars, be a taxi driver, mug people, then there is all the other activities (hunting, tennis, scuba diving, golf etc) which are all well done. You can occupy yourself just doing the sandbox and ignoring the story if you want (although you need to do that to unlock some things). The AI seems well done too although not perfect I guess but better than previous GTA's. one big improvement is being able to skip missions after a few attempts and you can replay the last bit you just did if you fail (there is also the function to manual save off missions at any time). Makes doing hard missions a lot less fustrating (although so far it dosen't look as hard as previous GTA which in my book is a good thing) The only thing that I could fault is the graphics. They do look nice but the AA seems bad in outdoor scenes (looks okay close up or indoors) and textures are not brilliant (mostly the ground in the mountain areas) but maybe that's just because it's xbox. Also using drive by shooting you have to steer with one joy stick and aim with another which seems real awkward to me :) oh and DO NOT play this near children. I thought at first that it wasn't too bad then I met Lester :) If you like GTA and red dead then you are gonna love this "Remember to turn off your cell phones, and please don't masturbate." - Ad before watching film in theater in GTA V

Great game!
I've had GTA V for more than two months now and I honestly think it is a very good game. I got it with free one day delivery due to my Amazon Prime trial and it arrived on time which I am very pleased with. I cannot compare this to other GTA games because I have not played GTA IV and the last game in this series I played was GTA San Andreas which was a long time ago i.e when I was a kid. I do think that the game has a lot to offer which is a positive for me. I also like how you, as the player, can go round as a criminal stealing cars and mugging people. I personally think that the visual aspects of the game such as the scenery and time of day work really well together and blend in beautifully. GTA Online is something I have yet to review as I have not participated in it (I do not have xbox live gold membership) but hopefully will do at a later date. Having an open world to roam about freely in is a great way to explore and do fun activities such as parachuting. As the story progresses, it becomes more engaging and interesting, I think. Overall it is a fun and entertaining game that will keep me hooked for hours. I made the right decision in buying it. =======2013/14 EDIT======= I think that the lack of cheats for the game is a little disappointing. When GTA San Andreas was released, there was quite a few cheats that came with it and that is something I really liked when I played that game. In that sense, San Andreas was a very good game. Since then, quite a few cheats have been removed and the invincibility only lasts five minutes. This is annoying because the time goes by rather quickly in GTA 5 and once it's over, you are no longer invincible. I also liked the fact that there were states in San Andreas that you could unlock after certain missions. Now in V, however, It's mainly one big city with a couple of towns a few in game hours away and an airport and you can go anywhere except the airport without being caught(this is also a good thing). Also I find that some weapons are not available in game such as hat seeking rocket lauchers, flamethrowers and bats. The jetpack isn't available either. These are the only negatives for me - the game is excellent otherwise, a real masterpiece. Overall, I would give GTA V 4.9 stars out of 5. This is just my opinion and I do not intend to nitpick or complain.

I may never leave the house again.
Hello....my name is Weasley and I am a casual gamer........I am now also a Grand Theft Auto V addict. I have played the Grand Theft Auto games in the past and I enjoyed them, but I didn't really like GTA IV and I was dubious about ordering GTAV but when I saw the trailer I knew I wanted it. You have to install 1 disc on the Xbox but it only takes about ten minutes. Don't install the second disc as Rockstar have said it causes issues. You launch straight into the action and the story is excellent. I really enjoy switching between the characters and they have distinct personalities which really help the game. Each vehicle handles differently from speeding through traffic in a sportscar to rumbling along in a truck you can travel along the roads. Thats before you mention the boats.........and the planes! So much fun! I am hopeless with missions (I told you I was a casual gamer - I should have said useless) but they have introduced a checkpoint feature so it makes it less frustrating. Each mission also has certain tasks that you can do and at the end you get a score with the ultimate aim a gold medal. You can replay the missions at any time from the start menu - really like that feature as many of the missions are great fun and worth playing numerous times. The scenery is simply amazing. I hopped on a Quadbike yesterday and spent a few hours zooming about the landscape. There were many times when I stopped and just looked at the background, truly stunning. The attention to detail is also impressive and every time I play I see something different. I went for a walk and was eaten by a mountain lion! The soundtrack is excellent and there is a lot of witty banter on the radio. This game will keep me occupied for hours. I love open world games as you have so much freedom to do whatever you want. There is an iPhone application where you can teach your dog tricks etc. but it doesn't seem to be working at the moment - Rockstar are working on this apparently. A great idea. Also, in a few weeks the online world will open and I think GTAV will go crazy! It truly is the best game I have ever played and if I could give it higher than 5 stars I would.
