I have six garden chair cushions that need covering - would this be suitable?

One side of this fabric is a plastic coating but the other has a smooth fabric feel so theoretically is would work well for outdoor cushions but not sure on the comfort factor? It is easy to sew and malleable though.

I need a strong waterproof material for my three seater hammock seat

It appears to be strong enough on our twin hammock but I have reinforced the seams and protect from the rain, as my hammock us in France the sun may weaken seams, otherwise it's been an excellent product and easy to work with.

Can it be used to fully block light? Thinking of making van curtains

Yes, definitely. It's really sturdy stuff and I can't imagine any light getting through it!
