What does the Double Action in the name refer to?

Gaviscon Double Action provides dual comfort from heartburn and indigestion symptoms and is formulated to work in two ways. It creates a protective barrier to help soothe the burning sensation in your chest, and neutralises excess stomach acid.

How much Gaviscon Double Action is too much?

If you take too much Gaviscon it is unlikely to cause you much harm although you may feel bloated. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if this feeling does not go away. Always read the information in the patient information leaflet.

What are the side effects?

Side effects are very rarely reported. If you do experience any side effects they are highly likely to be mild and to go away when you stop taking it. Speak to your doctor if you experience constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, stomach cramps or vomiting.
