Great little frog pond

Great value wildlife pond. Backfilling with sand can bend in the sides so I recommend filling with water at the same time as backfilling to mitigate any pressure from either side. I also added my own wildlife ladder out that’s wider than the one pre moulded. Shelves are ideal for plant pots. Would recommend.

Easy to install as long as you have a good spade to dig out the hole. Not had time to fill it with water but should make a lovely addition to the garden

Ok, firstly, I'd recommend this pond, because if you haven't got a big garden, but want a pond to attract wildlife, this is just the thing. I actually have quite a large garden, but just wanted something small, hopefully to attract a few frogs. It was delivered in a large black plastic bag. The pond was completely undamaged, and delivery was super quick. I'm writing this in January, it has been really wet lately, and my garden soil is heavy clay. So, like a complete idiot, i thought it was a great idea to dig a hole for the pond! How hard can it be? Well, harder than you might think. The clay soil was squelching, my wellies were sticking to it as if it was quicksand and i got covered in mud. But i was determined not to be rational, and carried on digging. It took a couple of days of prolific swearing to get the job done, ive got some rocks around it, and some plants i dug up from elsewhere in the garden, which will probably die, because what sane person digs up and replants campanula in January? but who cares? I got a pond!!! I finished it today, and am disappointed to say, there's no sign of frogs, no newts. Nothing. I was hoping at least a couple of ducks would be floating on it by now! Wildlife are very ungrateful. But i have the satisfaction of looking at my little pond, hoping one day something might like it. Now all i have to do is wait.......and have a shower!

Nice little pond with an inbuilt ramp for wildlife. Easy to set up with a few minutes digging and a little anti-weed liner underneath. Ideally I would have preferred it to be a tiny fraction deeper to give better winter protection and to make it a little more lilly friendly but this is a very minor point Overall, it works well and makes a nice little addition to the garden
