I suspect the issue has been caused by condensation being built up inside the unit as a result of the item lacking a rubber seal at the bottom which is an absolute must for devices in the kitchen. Until this issue is corrected I would recommend other users to avoid usage within the kitchen. ### ⭐⭐ Cheap and accurate, but with annoying design features. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 July 2018* So they have an easy to read display and seem quite accurate, but because the backlight is always on when they're powered up the auto power off timer is quite aggressive. Switching off after 60 seconds might seem like a good idea but in reality is so frustrating as this also clears the tare weight, so you have to have everything you need ready and you have to move quickly.
