Add a little weight to a metal panel and they shut up. The more weight in the middle the better, that's where these are good. No need to cover the whole surface, don't be tempted.

Splendid stuff. Not as sticky as I thought it was going to be, but I applied it in quite cold weather. My install was related to reducing road noise - so not quite the same as some of the audio installs I have seen. Even so, this stuff, whilst expensive is definitely up to the job! I'm going to buy some more in the summer and open up other areas of the car to block further reverberations - just need some good weather!
