Arrived in unbranded plastic packaging. The gel pack is separate from the band so just the gel can be placed in the freezer or microwave. The whole thing has been very thoughtfully designed. The band is soft where the pouch inserts and then stretchy which enables it to fit most sizes. The pouch fits easily into the cover and then the band is pulled over and secured with a velcro fastening. I have only used it in the freezer. I had a swollen ankle and this was really effective in reducing the swelling. It kept cool and the velcro helped it stay secure. Great price point. Happy to recommend.

The relief! Thank you! Wearing it right now, to help with a trapped nerve in my shoulder blade. Infinitely easier than trying to sit with my back pressed against a hot water bottle as I can wear this & move around for one thing. The strap & velcro appear to be very strong & well made. The gel pack retains heat fairly well & is a decent size. Thankful for the purchase within minutes of it being delivered!

Brilliant, I should have tried this a long time ago instead of struggling with a bag of frozen peas! One of the great things about this gel pack is that it doesn't go completely solid after being in the freezer and can still be flexed. Pop it in the freezer for a few hours then slip the pack into the provided arm band and pouch. The pouch helps protect your skin against freezer burn (the pack gets extremely cold!). It took a bit of practice at first to place the pack around my arm and then wrap the elasticated bandage over it by myself (using the other arm), but you eventually get the hang of it. The elasticated bandage has a velcro type fastener at the end to hold it all in place. I suffer a lot from muscular soreness in my tendons due to using the computer mouse (just below the elbow). For years I've tried heat packs, pain killers (ibuprofen, naxopren, gels) and failed to see any improvement. Within 20 minutes the ice pack was making a big difference! It is recommended to use it for no longer than 20 minutes at a time as it's very cold, but it definitely worked for me and helped the muscles feel a lot better. In combination with a brace to strap around the same muscle I am now able to control the muscle soreness when driving or using the computer (I'm left handed). You can also heat the pack in a microwave and use it to relieve aching muscles, works well for my neck and shoulders. Once it had defrosted I warmed it for about a minute in a 900W microwave and then continued as instructed to heat it at 10s intervals until it was hot throughout. Probably best to be careful not to heat it too much though. The pack is obviously a lot more pliable when hot than cold, but it seems strongly constructed and well manufactured including the bandage part. Even after 20 minutes the pack retains its coldness or warmth and can be reused time and time again. Definitely recommended to try if you suffer from muscle pains from modern life. Great service too from Gelpacksdirect who posted it free very promptly and nicely packed to pop through the letterbox. Heating instructions are also printed on the gel pack should you need a reminder. The pack contains a non toxic gel so no worries if it gets damaged.

It is a good product but has one major failing - the width of the gell pack and it's holder is good and the wide securing strap is great for adjustable compression but I don't have particularly fat ankles - quite slim in fact - but when cold, the gell pack in its holder does not fit all the way round at ankle level so the ends do not meet, making it devilishly difficult to get on and secure. It needs to be I would sat 30/31 cm long against its actual 27 cm to either meet in the middle easily or for some, allow a small overlap which would do no harm and facilitate holding it in place whilst wrapping the strap round it tightly enough. It is good for helping to help block burning leg syndrome at night though, as this always starts at the ankle level and works its way up the calf. If only it was made that little bit longer it could be perfect!

This is a wonderfully effective and well implemented product that is also versatile for different parts of the body. I have so far used it for back aches, and sore Achilles tendons (ie above the back of the heal). The strap contains a velcro meshed compartment to put the ice pack in, which eliminates the "bite" of the ice pack on your skin. The ice pack is can be left in the freezer as its permanent storage area. It must be thawed for around 10 minutes so that it can flex around your limb. The ice pack stays very cold a long time but you dont want to be leaving it on all the way. Proper use of it use it in periods of apprx 20 mins. I suffer regular Achilles tendon sores on both feet (at the same time). This one pack stays cold long enough to use on both of my feet in one treatment session for a full twenty minutes each. So if you have say a swollen ankle and maybe an aching back at the same time, you can use this one pack for both in consecutive turns before returning back to the freezer for your next day's treatment. No need to buy multiple packs. I have had this for 6 weeks, used daily, for about 4 weeks in total so far. Will update if performance degrades over time. But for now, this is one ultra cool product.

Tres utile en post operatoire par exemple ou juste de temps en temps pour des applications chaudes ou froides selon les besoins. Le reel + de ce produit est l’attache auto agrippante. Personnellement je mets la poche au frigo et non au congelateur. Ainsi je peux poser la poche froide directement sur la peau et juste entourer avec l’attache, qui s’adapte tres facilement et tient bien. Je ne mets pas la poche dans l’etui car je trouve que cela diminue l’effet de froid.

Ho un problema al gomito, ma grazie alle applicazioni di questa fascia e usando il cuscinetto in modalità freddo, ho tratto dei benefici. Il gel non congela completamente, quindi non diventa un blocco rigido e quindi l'uso è immediato senza dover aspettare che si riscaldi per poterlo modellare intorno alla parte del corpo in cura.
