Gtech AirRam MK2 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

I've only had this cleaner for 5 hours and I'm over-the-moon with it's brilliant design and user-friendliness. It had enough charge in the battery straight out of the box to try it out once assembled and it seemed quieter than any we've had before. Plenty of suction, plus it's light weight and so easy to push around. Battery charged up in 3 hours. The cassette dust box is such a good idea and clean and easy to use. The cleaner came recommended by a friend who has owned one for a few months and they are delighted with it. They told me they'd recommended it to 6 people including me, and all of them had good reports about it. I can only think that those who post up negative reviews on it, with the grumbles being about flimsy weak components must be those who don't know how to treat electro-mechanical things with respect. My motto is "If a lever doesn't easily move from parked position to where you want it to be in use, then consult the manual as there is probably a release catch you haven't read about in the user guide - don't force it unless you want it to snap and breakdown permanently" In other words don't be brutal with it, as it's not an industrial heavy-duty item it's a domestic one. There are plenty of useful accessories and spares offered on sale and a customer service contact. The company is in Worcester and so I'm wondering if it's British made but probably it's one of those products designed in the UK but made under British supervision in the Far East. So summing up - it's superb value for money and makes the task of vacuuming a real doddle. I could even get to like vacuuming floors at this rate and not hope my wife will do it ! Oh and 'by the way' it's so light and easy to push around that I can use it while tootling around in a wheelchair - that information may help anyone who could use it who is confined to a wheelchair but can self-propel.

So much easier to motivate to vacuum when you don't have to wrestle a big heavy vacuum cleaner with hoses and cables. This vacuum is light and easy to use. And boy dose is clean.

Needed a replacement for my 12 yr old heavy Henry, who has been a real trooper, but cumbersome to get up the stairs of a tiny cottage. For someone who loathes vacuuming & only does it when I can see the dust this is a life saver, I really didn’t expect much but it really has great suction… filled the bin in one room. It was so easy I did upstairs straight away- I usually do upstairs a different day!! Might even enjoy it if this goes on!! Nothing on me ached, nothing got tangled or fell over, my pets (cocker spaniel & 2 cats) will have to get used to the new sound but it is MUCH quieter than my screechy Henry. When the main handle goes on it is a little wobbly as others have said but it has to be like that for the subtle manoeuvrability… overall not a patch on the sturdiness of Henry but with children growing up that is no longer needed.It tucks away in half the space of Henry with no long hose to accommodate. Charging is easy I stood the whole thing beside an extension lead & the display showed clearly when it was cooked. It has no crevice tool (such a funny phrase!) but I found its cleaning up to the edges acceptable- I’m no clean freak - if it builds up over time I’ll brush it out beforehand like my mum used to do. I found Henry’s hose rather awkward over time. I used to vacuum on my knees but I don’t now. So don’t miss attachments at this stage. It is on the pricey side considering lack of attachments but hoping its longevity will prove the cost. I like the simplicity- it.cleans.the.floor. - that was what I was looking for- not a ceiling cleaner or curtain cleaner - I am not looking for more chores!! & more plastic stuff to store, loose & never use! More tea please!! The stairs are a bit of an art but I managed - just swivelled it to cover the area and run over the stair - all done! So far just what I wanted.

Great cleaners, easy to use and powerful

Here's to the next 10+ years! Just bought this to replace my old original Gtech Airram that I bought over 13 years ago when they first came out, so absolutely no hesitation replacing it with another. The Airram is super lightweight even my 5' wife has no problem carrying it up down stairs, obviously battery powered so no trailing chord and it lasts for about 40 minutes which is enough to do our whole house up stairs and down. We have a mix of deep pile carpets and hardwood floors and the AirRam has no problem running between the two without any adjustment. It's very quiet, much quieter than any other of the umpteen cleaners we've had over the years It's also super powerful and fills the dust box in a single session, it's also super easy to empty the dust box. We have a dog but he's only small so probably doesn't count 🤭. It's very low profile so easily goes under cabinets. Had a couple accidents over the years but nothing I couldn't repair. Parts are still available! It finally gave up a few days ago. Whats the difference with the new one? It unbelievably super quiet and it seems even lighter and even more powerful than the original. Clicks together and working in 5 minutes. Even easier to push and lifts the carpet pile on the pull stroke, so the carpet looks great and re-envigorated. They added a light to the front. Nice! They have moved the power button from a push button on the handle to a conventional foot pedal which is nicer People say prices are increasing but this new one was actually cheaper than the one I bought 13 years ago 🤭 That's just crazy I'm going to buy the Gtech stair carpet cleaner soon

Great lightweight powerful cleaner. This is the second time I’ve bought this cleaner, same model, why, due to I’ll health we needed a lightweight cleaner that did the job powerful, easy to use and empty almost pulls itself around the home, it does them all, love it. Would recommend

Good battery,very well made does the job great . Very happy with it for a cordless hover. No bag just a removable cylinder. Very impressed with it.

Depuis environs 10 années nous utilisions le premier Air Ram modèle sans le moindre problème déjà très satisfaisant, particulièrement efficace quand il fallait aspirer les poîles de notre Labrador. Seule faiblesse, pas très satisfaisant pour ramasser des choses plus gros que la poussière. Le Mk 2 s'avère encore mieux! Durée de travail entre charges 4 heures, moins bruyant et beaucoup plus efficace. Les objets taille petit pois sans problème. Fourrure d'animaux disparaît encore plus vite, moins bruyant, aspire sans réglage aussi bien moquette et parquet. Gros amélioration pour le facilité et contenu des matières aspiré et du filtre. Il est difficile de trouver de quoi critiquer.

Far superior to all other cordless vacuums I have purchased! The other brands only last about 2 years at best or as little as 6 months which is after the return window. The Air Ram has strong suction, easy bin empty and you can easily clean the filter, and it is light weight. Two things to mention 1) the head is a little too high to fit under my couch - so I dust mop that space first 2) be aware of the strong suction when using it on an area rug - I move in one direction, then lift the device placing in on the rug—not the edge - before vacuuming back in the other direction ;) This still does not deter me from providing a 5 star review! If you don’t want to have to replace your vacuum every year or two, GET THE AIR RAM!

This is the best vacuum I’ve ever had in my 61 years it’s light and never fails to pick up it’s unbelievable I love it so much . I’ve got one in all my 2 holiday homes and now in my villa in Dubai.

My 2nd GTech - previous one I had for 10ish years. Only disappointment was it came with an American plug!!!! Buying on Amazon.es I expected it to have a European Plug! Not too much to ask for.
