Men's G-Shock DW5600E-1V Black Resin Quartz Watch

Really brilliant watch. Even I've not managed to break it.

The classic beater watch, just put it on and don't worry no matter what you're doing. As G-Shocks go it's fairly basic but more than adequate for your daily needs, includes Time, Day/Date, Stopwatch, Count down timer, Backlight, 200m water resistance, Shock proof . Over 25 G-shocks in my collection and I didn't have this one ??? So purchased from Amazon US for under £50 including Duties and P+P. Watch arrived in 8 days via Royal Mail tracked, but as with my previous purchases form Amazon US the packaging does leave a lot to be desired as many have said before ! Strap can be a little stiff at 1st but will wear in, also the adjust button can be difficult to operate as it's recessed, it is designed that way to prevent accidental operation and perfectly normal (you don't have a faulty watch). Battery should last 3-4 years, backlight/alarm usage dependent, but you can easily replace it yourself (Batt is a CR2016) there are plenty of U-tube video's showing you how. Straps are prone to breaking over time, but replacements are readily available. Hope this helps ! EDIT 1 Nearly 2 years on from original purchase and the watch is still going strong. Still on original battery and no signs of it fading yet. Over 60 G Shocks in my collection now and I still wear this watch on a regular basis.

This is a brilliant tough workhorse of a watch with a retro style. I received the newer DW5600UE version with the LED backlight not the older 5600E with the EL yellowish light. The UE version is usually £20-30 more. Very pleased.

Two years of daily wear. Work, Holidays, gardening, DIY you name it. It looks & works exactly as it did the day I got it. Hands down the best watch I’ve ever had. Fantastic value for money, does what it says on the tin. Understated, iconic original G Shock watch that will last years & years. What’s not to love?

I'm happy with watch but was in a paper bag in a squashy box and came crushed, lucky it's a g shock 😏

I've been buying Casio watches for many years and this is one of the best. It's sturdy but not too big and chunky like some G-Shock, and can be worn during swimming or in the shower etc. It's a simple watch and just shows the time and date, plus a few extras like alarm and stopwatch. I expect this watch to gain about 30 secs in 6 months, so I'll just reset it when the hour changes, simple. When I go abroad I'll just reset the hour, simple. You don't need World Time, or a watch that resets itself every night if left near a window, or one that has lots of dials and flashing dots. It just makes life too complicated, and press the wrong button and you're in trouble if you don't have the manual to hand. The light is good as well and illuminates the whole dial, I can actually read it in dark conditions which I've found difficult with other models. Ok I expect the resin strap will snap in time as they tend to do, but they are easily replaced at a local jewellers. I recommend this watch.

Design original, robuste, très fonctionnelle (date, jour, alarme, chrono, éclairage bleu-vert, etc.), confortable et très légère. De plus, elle ne fait pas trop grosse même sur les petits poignets, contrairement à beaucoup de montres hommes, énormes. Très bonne qualité, avec son bracelet et boîtier résine, son fond vissé et son verre minéral anti-rayure (et pas en plastique!). Avec son look de char d'assaut elle semble indestructible et vous accompagnera dans les conditions les plus extrêmes (étanche à 200m, "schockprof", etc.). Et tout ça à prix d'ami. N'hésitez pas, faites-vous plaisir! :-)

Este reloj es uno de los primeros CASIO G-SHOCK. Ya es un reloj Vintage! Es un magnifico reloj para hacer deporte de todo tipo. Aguanta perfectamente los golpes y el agua de mar.
