Works great. Easy to use . Makes great oatmeal. Steams vegetables and rice at same time great. Very good with cooking brown rice.

This makes perfect rice. I had to learn a bit for high altitude, but once I figured it out, it's so much easier than a pot on the stove. And it's so easy to clean!

This rice cooker works great the rice cooks perfectly and it’s easy to use and clean. The bowl inside comes out and cleans easily. It makes a good amount of rice we always have leftovers.

I've been using this rice cooker for about 3 months now and just love it. I originally bought this for camping but have found that I love it so much I use it at home almost daily. It does rice very well and I love to use the saute function to saute my steel cut oats in some butter to release the nutty flavor, then finish them on the oatmeal function. Turns out some great oats. I just finished using the slow cooker to make some Italian Chicken Vegetable Soup and the soup was done in about 4 hours. Unfortunately there isn't a way to select low or high on the slow cook function and I'm unsure which one it cooks on. One thing I will mention is that you can only fill the pot up half way when using the slow cooker function. I used 16 oz chicken broth, 1/2 cut up chicken breast, half a stalk of celery, 1/2 small onion, 1/2 peeled sliced carrot and half a can of diced tomatoes with various spices. So Making soup will give two good sized bowls, enough for two people or two meals. I certainly would purchase this again.

love the rice cooker, you can slow cook, steam, cook oatmeal, grits, dried beans ,soups, great for two people . I have an large instant pot but always make to much for just two people. The only problem I had was that the latch broke and the lid will not close. I just put a weight on the lid and works great. I really like the cooker and do not want to return because I use almost every day.

Great size for singles! My sister recommended this to me as I’m not one for cooking and it makes meal planning easy. Use it for the first time today and made an amazing creamy Tuscan chicken orzo. I will definitely be putting this little beauty to use!

I'm preemptively giving this rice cooker five stars, because I had one of the older ones and I loved it. This commercial version is what I would consider and upgraded version. The rice cooker pot is definitely an upgrade over the other one, it's very nice and it's going to hold up well. The cooker itself looks great and has more functions than the one I had. There is, however, one problem and concern with the rice pot: when I first looked at it, it looked like it had been used and I washed it and ran my finger along the bottom of the pot and there was this oily film/residue on the entire inside of the pot. Obviously, it wasn't food-grade, it was more than likely a petroleum/silicone based product that was probably used in the manufacturing process. Either way, it should be removed before it ever gets to the consumer, if it is indeed part of the manufacturing process. Dish detergent did not touch it, I tried Dawn Power Wash-that didn't work. I finally had to use Krud Kutter FOUR times with a sponge to finally get the residue off. Essential lemon oil probably would have worked as well, but I didn't think of that until now. I also rewashed the pot at least twice with dish detergent and rinsed it well to make sure that I didn't have any residue from the cleaner left. Other than that, I do love this rice cooker and I will update on performance. Just check to see if you have the residue in the rice pot, aaaand prepare to never get the time back that it's going to take to get the film off.

Been using Aroma brand for decades. I only needed to buy this new one because I didn’t pack my old one when I moved from the US to Canada. The rice pot is smaller than I expected but it’s fine, since I did mainly get it to make 2 meals. I’ve only used the rice cooker and slow cooker function, which is what I got it for rather than buying 2 separate appliances. It works great. In case anyone is wondering, the Slow Cook feature is preset to High, with a temperature of 203°F. It does not say this in the manual or on their website, so I contacted Aroma directly. It’s a great appliance when used to cook meals for up to 2.

It works pretty good, though yet to get perfectly fluffy rice. I'd rate it a 5 if the steam vent and lid were removable to clean. Be nice too if slow cook had a hi and low setting.

Very slow! 2 cups of rice should not take over 40 minutes to cook! Using stove and simple pot is much more efficient. Maybe this is good for slow rice cooking?
