Mr Fixit Best Kept Secret
Nice kit, reasonably priced. Novus is a like a best kept secret, and not many people know how well it works. IF USED PROPERLY. Pro Hint: It's not magic, you don't just "spray and wipe", you DO need to apply some elbow grease, but I've found nothing better for polishing hard plastics. Plastics like (but not limited to) acrylic, polystyrene, polycarbonate, etc. On these and other surfaces with sticker residue where you can't use any kind of solvent, this stuff is the answer. I've salvaged many sticky, scuffed up CD cases with just #2 alone. The trick is to use aggressive pressure and rapid motion like a buffer, to the point where you're actually generating heat from friction. Not so hard that you crack the CD case but don't baby it, either. If your polish rag is CLEAN you will not hurt the plastic. ALWAYS use a CLEAN soft cloth for this. Can't stress that enough. The smallest dirt particle on your cloth will apply new scratches often times worse than the ones you're trying to take out. If the scratches aren't terrible, sometimes starting with the #2 is enough. If the're kinda bad, start with the #3. Buff till the scratches are gone. Then use the #2 in the same way to polish the micro haze left by the #3. If done right, you may not even need the #1 but applying it does make things shine and adds a little protection. Note that if a surface has seen considerable abuse, some scratches may be too deep for polish alone. In cases like those, it is possible to use super fine sandpaper like 1000, 1500, on up to 2000 grit to get them out. Then proceed with the Novus after that. Okay, I may be getting carried away suggesting one put THAT much effort into saving a CD case. But the point is, the process is the same for any (potentially more valuable) hard plastic object like a figure, a table top, or maybe a motorcycle windshield. I've also had success cleaning the CDs themselves. If dusty, rinse under some warm soapy water first before attempting to polish. Some scratches are best left alone if they're not affecting play. But if they're fairly significant and you just can't stand looking at them any longer, start with the #2. Don't be near as aggressive as on the case, these surfaces are kinda tender and you can easily make things worse. Might want to practice a bit on a junk CD first. After the #2, finish with the #1. If a CD is just dirty, use only the #1 with light, light pressure. It'll take smoke film and fingerprints off nicely. And ONLY use a microfiber cloth on CDs.

Really works for removing superficial scuff marks from acrylic surfaces
I bought this with much skepticism, but it really does work for removing small, light scratches to acrylic surfaces You don't need to use a large amount, just 1-2 drops per spot, rub in circular motion with a paper bag (paper bags are just a very fine abrasive comparable to 1200 grit sandpaper) and wipe away with included lint free paper towels The included paper towels can be re-used (rinse with water, squeeze out excess water, and hang to dry) I doubt it will work for gouges in acrylic, but for superficial scuff marks--superb This set is pretty expensive, but for the amount, I think it will last me a lifetime

Good product with power tools...
This product does an amazing job if you are willing to put in the work. Using the provided thick paper towels will do little to nothing. I cleaned and started with the #3 compound, then #2... it took 30 minutes utes per headlight, but well worth it.

Works really well on acrylic turntable dust covers
Worked like a champ. Took an opaque scratched and tired looking acrylic turntable dust cover and applied the three different stages. Took a total of about 30 minutes and got the cover back to about 80%. Obviously the deep scratches could not be removed but the majority of the shallow ones are gone and the cover is once again transparent.

Removed light and medium scratches, but replaced them with lighter but still visible scratches.
This works well for most kinds of plastic, and the final step gives it a nice shine, but if you're using this on any kind of screen, even one without any kind of coating, I wouldn't recommend it, as it can cause a shimmering effect from all the tiny scratches it adds. It also won't remove heavy scratches, so don't bother if there are any gashes in the plastic (maybe start with sandpaper, but be extra careful.) You do get a lot in the bottle, so it'll last you quite a while.

Actually does what it says
Surprised at how easily this removed the cloudiness on the plastic face of a clock in my vehicle.

No no no no not worth it. Danger
Do not buy them. They scratch my Ray-Ban sunglasses that I only had a week This item ruin them. So I called Amazon and the manager told me that she will replace it. Well I got another one and had to send them back because the seller gave me a use one and they were not even the color I ordered. Well Amazon told me they will replace them welllllllll they just told me that they will not get give me a refund for a pair of sunglasses that I bought as they told me too.tbis product is worthless and only damage your product. And Amazon do not care that you buy a product from them and they don't care. All Amazon does is care about the money that they're making they don't understand that we go out and we pay a lot of money for another product which was Ray-Bans I paid $300 sunglasses didn't even have them a week now they're no good Ray-Ban company won't replace them because I bought the product from Amazon and Amazon's telling me they won't replace them because I didn't buy them from them. It's all because of this product that tells you that it does certain things and it will not. This is what this product does. I just lost over $300 out of my own pocket and they will not help me.

Packaging was Terrible
We received the 3 polishes. Stage 1 was open when received and all that remained of it was a dribble in the bottom of the bag, you could see the envelope was soaked and stained from it. about 5-10ml remained int he bottom of the bag one. We copied the videos on you tube exactly and had no luck. So I guess it didnt work on discs like the video said it would. If I could choose 0 starts i would

Great Plastic Polish
We have flexible solar cells mounted on our boat’s fibreglass hardtop which develop a hazy finish during the cruising season and this collection of plastic polishes restores the original finish with minimal effort.
