Brilliant product with a great finish
Absolutely brilliant! I am a complete amateur but wanted to paint an internal wooden door with a much softer colour (it was an unpainted pine colour). I used the Rustins Undercoat (also available in a really handy small tin) first and then dived in! I was pleased with the result after just one top coat but did a second coat and the finish is just brilliant - so smooth looking and such an even, soft colour - looks quite professional. Thank you Rustins! The smaller tin is so useful when you only have a small job to do.

Good quality
Although a small tin, as other reviews have said a little does go quite a long way. The paint goes on really nicely, I just used a brush, and the finish is really nice - it's very good quality. It was a bit lighter than I was expecting though, it's a couple of shades lighter than the sticker on the tin suggests, and it is expensive for a very small tin. Unable to upload a picture to show, but the tin fits in your hand easily - it's a bit like a slightly larger tester pot size.

A LOT lighter shade than the label suggests
The paint is great but this is VERY light grey. Almost looks white in the tin. Most paint dries darker than what the tin says, maybe, ever so slightly this did but I need to buy a different a shade.

My FAVOURITE product ever! Amazing price, great packaging.
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I have ordered 4 of these and I am in the process of painting all of my cupboard doors. Itโs so pigmented, only have to use a little bit and it is so thick! Once on, itโs so easy to wipe and clean.Little tip- when painting, spread with a wide brush downwards. This makes the cupboard- or door- have a wooden effect. Itโs so beautiful. Thanks!
User
great paint. Very very light grey/white
paints on lovely almost like a white gloss look at first which is worrying. Its is very very light grey so I was lightly disappointed as was expecting a bit darker. Drys with a lovely chalk finish. Great a sa base for shabby chic painting. Have lots left and painted a big armchair.
User
Nothing like the colour on the tin
I would have given this paint more stars as it is easy to use, however, the colour is nothing like the colour shown on the tin, it is very pale, nearly white. If you are wanting a darker grey, then this is not it.
User
Trust all the positive reviews but Georgian grey is lighter than expected
Tiny pot of paint that goes on as smooth as butter and one coat was only needed. Here it is with a chalky white paint. It was slightly lighter than I expected but didn't turn out to be a bad thing.Paintbrush washes clear and quickly in tap water.

Love this colour
I thought this small pot wouldn't go far! I was mistaken. For one coat of the mantlepiece and a shelf, I've only used a quarter of the tin. I also added a splash of water (as others have recommended) before mixing. I prepped the wood before painting. I would certainly recommend doing that for any paint work though. Excellent paint. Excellent quality. I love the colour and the result!
