Review: An Epic Conclusion to the Knightfall Saga! - Batman: Knightfall Vol. 3: Knightsend delivers a powerful and satisfying conclusion to one of the most iconic Batman storylines ever. After watching Jean-Paul Valley (Azrael) spiral into madness as Gotham’s ruthless and unhinged Batman, this volume finally sees Bruce Wayne’s return to reclaim the mantle. The story is packed with intense action, psychological depth, and emotional stakes, as Bruce undergoes grueling training to recover from his injuries and prove he is still worthy of being Gotham’s protector. The final confrontation between Bruce and Jean-Paul is gripping—a true battle of ideologies, as Bruce must outthink and outmaneuver his unstable successor rather than simply overpower him. I also really enjoyed how Robin, Nightwing, and other supporting characters play a role in Bruce’s return, reinforcing the importance of his relationships and the stark contrast between his Batman and Jean-Paul’s. The artwork remains classic '90s Batman—dark, moody, and action-packed, perfectly fitting the tone of the story. Pros: Bruce Wayne’s triumphant return and psychological journey High-stakes showdown between Bruce and Jean-Paul Great use of supporting characters like Nightwing and Robin Intense action sequences and dramatic storytelling A fitting conclusion to the Knightfall arc Cons: Some parts feel slightly rushed compared to earlier volumes Jean-Paul’s arc could have been explored a bit more before the climax Overall, Knightsend is a must-read for any Batman fan, wrapping up the Knightfall saga with an unforgettable final act. If you've followed the journey from Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, this is the epic conclusion you’ve been waiting for! Review: Epic entertainment. Things get bleak for Bruce and Gotham. - This was a really interesting era for Batman and Gotham in general. Knightfall kicked off an increasingly desperate period during the mid-90s for Bruce Wayne/Batman resulting in desperate times for Gotham. As the cowl passes from a broken, exhausted Bruce Wayne to the unhinged Azrael, Robin and Nightwing look on anxiously as Gotham sinks into chaos driven first by Bane and then the various nutters he had released upon a city already reeling from the loss of the Batman. This epic volume collects every story from the various comic series in an uninterrupted journey to restitution for Gotham's true protector on the face of overwhelming opposition from within and without. Review not just for this closing saga but the whole trilogy, it's a total blast.

Batman: Knightfall Vol. 3: Knightsend
Bruce Wayne completes his recovery and returns to Gotham, where he must learn to be the Batman once more. However, an increasingly brutal Jean Paul Valley refuses to give up the cowl without a fight. After a vicious fight, Wayne banishes Valley from the Batcave and leaves Dick Grayson, the first Robin, to assume the role of Batman. Both Valley and Grayson struggle in their new lives and Commissioner Gordon feels that the city has lost faith in Batman as Tim Drake begins his work as the third Robin once more. This is an interesting, tough, storyline about identity and how various characters see themselves (and others) without the mask. Plenty of action, but reflective and melancholic in places. Dixon and his team have struck gold here.

Loves these.
The only complant I have is that there seems to be a huge chunk of story missing from this one, saying that I still loved reading this one despite that

and that's a good thing. The stories are enjoyable
This volume contains mostly adventures with Dick Grayson (Nightwing) filling in for Bruce Wayne's Batman, alongside Tim Drake as robing, and that's a good thing. The stories are enjoyable, the duo click, a well written collection.

It's incredible story of Batman. Behind the bat mantle he is a human being. He could be fail, break but his spirit always rise. From its first volume to third volume we can see his struggle behind this mantle. He mentally and physically break down by Bane. He just don't want same to his city. So, he gave his mantle to Jean Paul. In the beginning he shows he is a worthy of being Batman. He take down bane. Bruce get retired. But Jean Paul goes wild with his new responsibility. He make aside Robin and other Batman's allies. He does many things which are against Batman Values. So Bruce decide to take his mantle back. But, Jean Paul resisted because he was also a failed warrior in his previous life. He scares and oppose Bruce. I like the end of this battle. Bruce do no fight with jean paul. Because he figured it out that Jean Paul is scared. So, Bruce take Jean Paul out of his fear in the same way bruce was once got out of his fear of darkness in childhood. It's amazing story with amazing work of art, all three volumes. This story is example that why Batman stories are very different than any other superheroes.
