Magic Smooth Razorless Hair-Removing Cream 6oz/170g

I don't know why this product has so many low reviews...I have very sensitive skin, and I have no issues with this product, different time limits to keeping the cream on will work for different people, 4 minutes didn't work for me, how I use it: after applying the cream, I wash my hands then start the timer for 7 minutes, I found this time to be the sweet spot for me...find yours. If the product don't work for you, it doesn't mean it's a bad product, it's just not for you, try another one, too many low reviews for stupid reasons.

I have quite thick coarse hair, I applied this product a few days after shaving my head so there was very little growth. I left it on for the full 7 minutes before wiping off as directed. It did absolutely nothing and left all my hair intact. I’m sticking to shaving thanks!

First impressions were a bit disappointing. However, a learning process is needed before judging the product. I shaved off my hair 12 years ago when things started to get a bit thin on top. Having had long hair for many years, I gave up getting the angle of the ponytail to help conceal an increasingly thin pate. I was looking to something that would be alternative to shaving. At present, I have a very unevenly shaped 'horseshoe' area of hair with some very thin hair elsewhere. Unshaven, it does not look good despite the fact that most of it is now grey/white. The product quickly deals with the thin hair on top but the 'horseshoe' area can remain rather stubborn. The way to do this is to give the 'horseshoe' area at least 10 minutes (not 4 minutes as claimed) but clear the stuff off the thin pate sooner.. Result is not bad but I have yet to leave it as long as 4 days as claimed. However, leaving it on longer than stated is your responsibility! Update: Practice does improve the results and it IS possible to get a really smooth clean bald head that looks much better than one shaved with a razor.

good item. Doesn't get as close as a razor does, and you don't get a lot in the tube considering you have to apply it on thick. However, we left it on for 7 mins, and it took almost all the hair off with just a sponge. It lasted about the same length of time as a normal shave would, but worked better than a razor in terms of time, effort, and nicks when shaving.

We followed the instructions to a tee- did the patch test twice before full application on different areas of the head, applied as per the instructions, removed as advised. The cream did not remove all the hair and more importantly has burnt parts of the skin. 48hrs later and the skin is still rashy and parts have started to scab over. This cream is dangerous to use and I would not recommend to anyone. Will NEVER buy this product again.

The product manufacturers make some pretty outrageous claims about Magic, so let's go through them one by one: 1. "Light, Fresh Scent" Easily the biggest wopper of a lie on the bottle! It stinks to high heaven and can only be described as akin to the whiff of burning turds. If that's your bag, go for it. At least it doesn't linger on your skin too long afterwards but it really is unpleasant. 2. "Works in 4 Minutes" Not in my experience! Bearing in mind I'm a Norwood 7 on the Male Pattern Baldness Scale and had my hair under 1mm in length when I applied to my scalp, you'd probably expect my head to cleared in the 4 min period. But I had to leave it on for around 7 mins (it says to not exceed 7 mins) for it to clear most areas. 3. "Lasts for 4 Days" Another ENORMOUS porky-pie! I shave my head every day out of necessity. I get the infamous horse-shoe shadow as it grows back in, after around 24 hours, which makes the contrast between bald parts and hairy parts too distinct. My biggest hope with Magic was that it would allow me to at least cut this down to every other day. Not a chance! I would have to use this every single day, same as a razor. This does NOT go deeper than a razor. 4. "Closer than a razor" Already answered above! A razor blade gives me 24 hours before the shadow grows in. This product is actually WORSE than a razor because it didn't actually eliminate the shadow AT ALL! Yes, it does clear away your surface hair, it does work. But it's much messier, slower and not as effective as a razor, leaving patches all over the place where it didn't work fully. As the instructions say you should leave 24 hours between applications, if it doesn't clear all the hair first time (which it almost certainly won't) then you are screwed and will have to finish the job with a razor anyway! Maybe this will work better on facial hair, I never tried. But if you are looking for a clean cut bald finish, this is not even close to as effective as a razor blade. I don't suffer from razor bumps, so can't comment on that but I won't be buying again as a solution to having to shave every day.

Very good it does what it says

Expensive waste of time. Better off using his normal head shaver.

Wanted to try this out on my legs instead and it works really well, but it did take a lot of product in order to get the whole surface. Did sting a little bit (no cuts). But did last for at least a week so its worth it!
