## Questions & Answers

**Q: can I use this on a Motor home 12 volt vent fan on the back of the refrigerator?**
A: NO! The thermoswitch is designed for 115 volt AC. The 12 Volt circuit you are asking about is 12 Volt DC. It will take the voltage and blow like a fuse will do in less than 30 seconds.

**Q: I'm using this in 12v system. Should the switch be wired to the positive wire or to the ground wire?**
A: the positive wire should go to one side of the switch. Come off the other side of the switch to the positive side of the component you want to control. The ground(negative) will be straight to the negative side of the component you want to control

**Q: When this Switch Fails.... Does it stay open (off) or closed (on)?**
A: Mine works fine. That is a 50/50 question, if the contacts fried when loaded I guess it would stay on. Then again it could fail to come on for load. Rated for 100,000 plus cycles at rated amps.

**Q: I want to use this to control a fan where the plug is a transformer from 120v to 5v. Should I install the switch between fan and plug or plug and wall**
A: if you wire the switch between the power source (wall)to the transformer it will control power to the transformer and anything that the transformer is sending power to . if you wire it between the transformer and the fan it will shut down the fan but the transformer will stay powered up as long as the transformer is plugged into the wall power source. I would use it on the 110 side to shut down the transformer.
