Best filter I've ever owned
Awesome bit of kit. I have owned many filters of different types across the years (gravel/bubble filters, internal filters, external filters, hang-on-back filters), and the hang-on-back is without doubt the most convenient sort to maintain. I bought this because I was starting to see some cloudiness build in the water and needed the UV to clear it. Within half a day of using it with the UV light on, the water was crystal clear. Also, I'm amazed at the strength of the flow rate of the water... I have no idea if it is living up to the 800 litres per hour, but the water movement in the tank is similar to that of external filters that claim to be 1000+. It was up and running in about 10 minutes without any fuss of trying to connect pipes and check for leeks that comes with external filters, and there was no messing about moving stuff inside the tank trying to make room for it and hiding it behind plants or rocks like you do with internal filters. Very easy to clean too; lift the lid off, lift out the filter media basket, wash it and put it back... you don't even need to switch the pump off. There is very little that can go wrong with it, and if it ever should, then at this price I'd just buy another one! Edit: just added video for you to see flow of water. It's the filter on the left, the one on the right is a different make but does show the difference in flow rate. The noise is an air pump, not the filters.

Very good filter easy to clean , doesn't make alot of noise.
Quite pump great pulling clean the tank very well and quickly Just don't ever clean the pump never undo it. As it doesn't like it at all. I thought I'll do a good thing and clean the pump. Which was the worst idea ever? Stop working completely 4 times So my advices don't ever do that. Just change the filter media and sponge. That's it. It blow tripped out my electric had to get red of it disappointment

Nearly
This filter had all the features you would expect from a more expensive brand so had to give it a go, on receiving the filter initially I thought it was a bargain. After setting up the filter on my aquarium I started it up and the skimmer started to do its job instantly clearing any debris from the surface, noise from the filter wasn't silent but also not too annoying considering the price and features but I would say to loud for say a bedroom. Some users have reported the most common issue that causes a problem is the UV bulb failing or not working but no such problem with my filter it started as soon as the power was turned on. However, this is where things started to go wrong after the pump had been running for an hour or so I noticed that there was water on my cabinet under the filter itself, after closer inspection I found that water was leaking between the clips that hold the pump to the case. I took the pump off to make it was seated correctly and tight but after just a few minutes there was another droplet of water again from the same area. Sadly for me, it had to be returned for a refund as I lost faith in the product as I think it may be a slight design flaw, I have many other all pond solutions products and have always found them to be value for money, this won't stop me in the future trying other products of the brand.

Buyer be aware! Cheap nasty and likley to kill!!!
Was a little sceptical as some of the reviews on your other products. However the cheap price and Amazon's fast delivery lulled me into buying this product. Initially on taking out of the box I was impressed. It looked relatively sturdy, well made. Was a little nervous about the UV as previous reviews on other products mentioned electric shocks ect . I am now not surprised. The uv is located next to the motor both which leak. They was water on the electrics and pissing out the bottom. When looking closer it seems they is little to no seals thus ending with a defective leaking product which could easily have shocked myself or killed my animals. I understand that it is a cheap product however I expected to atleast get a good few months use out of it nor did I expect it to potential kill my pets. Think Amazon should review what products and suppliers be sold via them. Despicable.

Excellent product!
What an excellent filter. I’ve tried internal filters (easily clogged up), external canister ones (difficult to prime and take up too much space) but this is the very best, offering a great flow rate and crystal clear water, without taking up a ton of space. When it comes to cleaning, the filter cages pull out on a holder, meaning that for a quick maintenance clean, no need to remove the full filter body. Seems good build quality, so should hopefully last. Fish seem very happy!!!

Just bought second one.
160l tank, before this one i tried a couple different ones. I put more sponges inside and the water quality was very good. So this one after 4 years of service developed a fault on its shaft becoming loud, also started very slowly almost unnoticeably leaking, but this was on me being too lazy to take proper care about the seal. So just bought another one, moved over all the medium and that's it. If it becomes faulty, I will buy another one. And then another one.

Good filter
The filter works great the only down fall is the UV light doesn’t work, I have replaced the bulb but it still doesn’t work. Brand new and the impeller is making a grinding noise and the bulb doesn’t work. Great.
