Does it have any rubber padding underneath?** A: These are not just a material case - they have good padding on base and the gusset that goes around adjoining the front to back pieces. They also have a generous large front pocket with lots of different sized inside pouches, plus really well padded divider ro make your laptop fit snugly into case. To answer your questions Yes it would if there was no front pocket - but the extra weight obviously makes it lean towards the front. BUT not like a flimsy bag, it does not crumple up and loose it's shape - and no it does not have rubber padding underneath. BUT it is very well made and very tough - we have had ours a few years now and they get carried from a to b hundreds of times. Slid into cupboards etc. and there is no sign of wear or tear on either of them, even at the corners. They have good zips and they offer good protection for your laptop. I would not purchase anything else as we have been really pleased with them. **Q: My laptop is 12.1 will the cake be too big?** A: No problem, mine is 13" and it fits comfortably. Its a good bag of which I carry my phone and laptop chargers in as well. **Q: Is it waterproof/splashproof?** A: Splash proof yes but waterproof no. Above the zip compartment at the front is a thicker fabric which is quite rubbery and would probably be waterproof. The rest of the bag is heavy duty, close woven nylon fabric which, although lined inside, would probably not stand a torrential downpour. **Q: is this bag waterproof ?** A: no ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would recommend *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 May 2026* Very good quality , happy with my purchase ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bigger than I thought...but no bad thing *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 8 April 2023* Bought this for a newly purchased 15.6" Lenovo laptop. With the laptop in the bag, there is at least 1cm space either side and about 5cm of space at the top, so plenty of room. Handy pockets in the front compartment for phone, charger, pens etc, plus another pocket which takes my 10" tablet in its case, complete with a Bluetooth keyboard.Overall, impressed with the space. Haven't had it long enough to judge the durability properly, but it feels like it's well made and should protect my laptop from bumps and knocks due to the thick padding. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 October 2026* Good for my new laptop. Space is enough for usual additional passengers (mouse, DVDdrive, cables/connection adapters, etc.) Good finish for a good price, padded and includes shoulder strap if you want it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Targus Laptop Bag, Fits Laptop up to 16", Padded Adjustable Shoulder Strap, Compact and Lightweight, Multiple Pockets for Travel and Business, Black - Jabra Evolve 20 Stereo Headset – Microsoft Certified Headphones for VoIP Softphone with Passive Noise Cancellation – USB-Cable with Controller – Black - Dell P2425 24 Inch WUXGA (1920x1200) 16:10 Monitor, 100Hz, IPS, 5ms, 99% sRGB, USB-C, DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA, 4x USB, 3 Year Warranty, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.th/products/48247180-targus-classic](https://www.desertcart.co.th/products/48247180-targus-classic) --- *Product available on Desertcart Thailand* *Store origin: TH* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
