Holds a large amount of water
I know this product from when I lived in America. It has a magnifying effect so the numbers are easy to read. It holds 5 ins, which is a lot more than most gauges. Since itโs from America, it is quite expensive, but worth it.

THE PERFECT STORM GAUGE
California is just coming out of a five-year drought and has been deluged with glorious rain for the past few weeks. I wanted to know just how much rain we're getting. I already had a couple of inexpensive, decorative rain gauges, but I wanted something accurate and easy to read. First got La Crosse Technology 705-109 Waterfall Rain Gauge , but had trouble locating a good place to put it. Ordered this one, and love it - the dark blue background makes it easiest to see, and to date I haven't even mounted it with screws - just slid the pointed stake/base between the vertical fence boards and the 1x4 crossbeam at the top, and it holds it nice and snug. It sticks up above the top of the fence a couple of inches, so it's got clear access to the rain.

Poor quality
After only a few months the paint started coming off. It was just mounted stationary, no movement.

Great price for an easy to mount and read rain gauge
I have owned several of these over the years. The great price allows me to stock up on them as I will replace them when they become too dirty/cloudy and/or if they crack due to frozen precipitation (2nd pic -- my fault, I should have emptied it). I keep buying them because I don't have to re-configure the mounting. They are easy to read and reasonably accurate (compared to Weather Underground stations in my neighborhood).
