My First Crochet Book: Learn To Crochet: Kids

This book was recommended by the teacher in an adult class. Although it’s for children it is excellent for beginners making it simple to follow and make a start teaching the basics. I would recommend this book.

This is a great little book for learning to crochet. The instructions are very clear. I liked: - the fact that they give both UK and US names for stitches (so patterns can be adapted) - the photos of the actual rows, so you can see what it will look like I really disliked 😡: The “Sewing Together” pages, which shows pictures of KNITTING! Crochet is not regular at all between rows, stitches and edges, so these pages are not helpful for beginners. For info, this is a book for children, so the projects are kids projects. If you are an adult learning crochet, the same book exists for adults, with exactly the same instructions, but with grown up projects.

My granddaughter was very happy with her book. I thought it was very colourful/ eye catching for a beginner to want to learn and very well explained.

This is book is not bad but for me, as a someone who is fairly new to crochet, and sometimes find YouTube tutorials not always easy to follow, I thought this book would be a helpful guide: Positives +clearly shows difference between UK and US terms +very clear demo of how to do a chain and the crochet stitches Negative: What, for me, lets the book down is that the exercises are not well explained, and could do with illustrations, e.g. I attempted to make a flower, with the instructions to chain 6, slip stitch (easy) but do 16dc, which does not make sense, hence pictures would be helpful.

Great book to learn crochet

Fantastic little book! The instructions are very clear thanks to the use of drawings instead of pictures. The projects build up in difficulty very gently and the book really is well designed to build confidence rather than jumping into long or difficult projects. Would recommend it to any beginner, not just children.

My granddaughter loves the book. She can understand it and great photos to show you what the stitches come together.

Très bon livre pour apprendre les points de base du crochet mais si vous êtes français oublié l achat car nous avons suffisamment de livre en français sur le sujet j aime bien la Bâle et le poussin que je vais tout de même tenter de faire

Aunque soy mayor elegi este libro por su sencilidad y claridad de instruciones. Muy adequado por todos los principiantes de cualquier edad.
