Trap the heat in For radiators under windows the Radfan Classic reduces heat lost through the window by 35%, keep the warmth in your home and stop warming up the great outdoors. Ever wonder why your feet are cold? Most of the heat leaving your radiator goes straight up and gets trapped at the ceiling or is lost through your window leaving you feeling cold. Warmth where you want it Radfan's unique designs increase the warm air flow and puts the warmth where you want it most, making you warmer and more comfortable. 30 seconds to install The Radfan is super quick to install. Simply take it out of the box, plonk it on top of your radiator, plug it in and forget about it - the Radfan will turn on when your radiator gets warm and off again when it cools down. No plumber or electrician needed, it's as easy to install as a desk lamp. About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words.Simple, Ingenious, EffectiveHow did you come up with the idea for this product?A few years ago I was sat on the sofa next to my wife and she would always complain about being too cold, even though the central heating was on and the radiators were warm. It was clear that all the heat from the radiator was going straight up, escaping out of the window or getting trapped at the ceiling. I decided to see if I could redirect that heat flow out into the room and that's where the idea for the Radfan was born. The initial prototype was a great success, not only did we feel warmer, my wife stopped complaining! What makes your product special? The Radfan is the only product on the market that is guaranteed to make your home warmer, without having to spend more on your energy bills. What has been the best part of your startup experience? The best part of the startup experience for us has been the freedom to create and come up with new ideas. We love being able to try new concepts, whether it be in product design, marketing or customer service and get instant feedback from our customers. We are really proud of what we have achieved, this job can be hard-work, but it is never boring! We'll send you a Radfan Classic along with the power supply - all you'll need to stay toasty. See more

Review: More Efficient Heating - I bought this radiator fan as my living room is huge and only has one radiator, so the heat doesn't fill the room effectively which means it often feels cold even with the heating on all day. This seemed like a perfect solution to heating the room more effectively and saving money on my gas bill. The fan is very easy to install, it simply sits on the top of the radiator and is held in place by magnets. The magnets hold it securely so there's no worry of it coming off at all. It then simply plugs into the mains via the thin cable that comes with it. The cable is long enough to stretch right across my room, but of course it is preferable to have a socket near the radiator, so that's something I would take into consideration if you're thinking of purchasing the fan. It took a while for me to figure out if the fan was working, as it only comes on when the radiator is warm enough, but soon enough I was able to hear it working. It makes a quiet whirring noise which is not loud enough to bother me in any way even when the room is otherwise in silence. I've found the fan really does work well at redirecting the heat around the room, and therefore heating the room fully, which I never achieved without it. The room now feels warmer when the heating is running and I am able to run the heating for much shorter periods of time to warm the room to a comfortable temperature, so I'm saving money on gas. The cost in electricity to run the fan is minimal and I am saving money overall. I'd highly recommend the Radfan to anyone wanting to heat a room more efficiently and save money on energy bills. I've been so impressed with it's effectiveness that I'm now thinking of purchasing another for use in my bedroom.
Review: Well thought out product, but not a miracle worker! - The device arrived well packed, with some simple instructions. The magnetic feet keep the device from moving around well, and the power supply seems good quality, with a reasonably long cable. The cable has a connector in the middle, which helps with routing it. I initially tried the fan in the kitchen, in the middle of a larger radiator. It was reasonably quiet, although I'd probably not want it in a bedroom. It did make a difference to how the room felt, you can't feel the heat like a fan heater would, but you can tell that the room feels more evenly spread around the room. The temperature sensor does a good job of turning the fan in and off as the heating starts and stops. I then moved it to a troublesome hall, where because of the positioning of the radiator, the heat moved up the stairs without warming the hallway. Here it has definitely made a difference, with much reduced cold spots. Only negative is that it feels like a lot of money for what it is. However I think it's been well thought out, and willing to pay for a good product well executed. I think it's usefulness will depend on your circumstances. Don't expect it to turn your radiator into something like a fan heater, that's not what this was designed for. What it does seem to do is use whatever heat you have in a better way and setup currents in the room that mean it's felt by you more than just heating up a windows or a ceiling. I'll consider buying a larger one for the kitchen after a few more weeks seeing if this one continues to be effective

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Great Invention
*by L***N on 22 March 2018*

The RadFan is a cool little innovation that claims to boost the heat from your radiators, but is it worth the expensive price tag? Let’s have a look. So if we take a closer look at the RadFan there’s not much too it really, the unit is made from ABS. has two small fans inside, a power cable, a heat sensor on the inside and lastly magnets which are used to fix the device to your radiators, the unit is also colour matched to the standard radiator white so it won’t look too out of place in your home. The RadFan is very easy to install and takes less than 60 seconds, you just plug the DC power cable in and the device simply sits on top of your radiator, magnets on the front of the device keep it in place and Radfan claims it fits universally to all single and double radiators. Once you have it installed the fans will automatically kick in once heat is detected from the in built thermostat, for me this is usually after about 40 minutes from the heating is switched on. And the fans will stop automatically when the radiator isn't hot anymore. This means you can simply fit and forget about the device. There are a few different sizes and options available for the Radfan, the unit i have is the Classic Small but you can also get the Classic Medium and Large which are longer and feature more fans. There is also the option of RadFan Slim which mounts to the bottom of radiators. So does it actually make a difference? Well having recently moved house into a large draughty bungalow I have definitely noticed a difference in the room temperature in the past month of using the Radfan and it makes sense that it does, as heat rises from radiators a lot of the heat is lost through windows and most doesn’t actually get dispersed into the room. So having a device like the radfan that sits on top and blows the heat outward actually makes a big difference. Now I haven’t done any scientific tests to measure temperature before and after but as I said before I find a big difference from using it in my home.
