Head Over Heels About Gymnastics Floor Skills

Very well illustrated, my 5 year old granddaughter found it easy to read and follow.

This is really useful in the primary school gymnastics club that I run. The children enjoy getting ideas of how to perform skills and how to put them together into routines. I love the way they can stand the book up, which makes it easier for them to share too because more of them can see it. The tone of the book is great too - encouraging whilst still showing precisely how to do it right. It'd be great to have even more routines to attempt but as an introduction it's a fab resource.

My other half and I came across this book “Head Over Heels About Gymnastics Floor Skills” by chance, while we were browsing the Amazon website for easy-to-follow Pictorial Gymnastics Books for one of our children. It might be aimed at young readers i.e. children aimed between 3years and 10years, BUT it’s definitely very comprehensive and easy-to-follow, so much that I myself now KNOW and can just about do an “ARABESQUE” : This is a pose in which one stands on one leg extended in front and the other leg and arm extended behind. We are DEFINITELY impressed with the dedication and progress our 12 year old teenager is making with her gymnastics practice using this gymnastics book we’ve purchased for her. Our hope is that in the near future, we would be able to enrol her in a gymnastics class for her to learn more things and have more fun. The book is made of hardback material that will not break easily, can easily be wiped clean. Moreover, the book has been made in such a way that it can be stood up so that one can view and do the floor gymnastics exercises. IF one has very young children, it would be HIGHLY recommended that they are supervised, so they do NOT injure themselves. A very good idea for children to be independent learners. Good clear illustrations. I would have given it 5 stars had it been A3 size as that would have made it perfect.

The book is of good quality but I thought it would be larger

Great book but a bit overpriced in my opinion.

Overpriced, covers only very basic things that most children know after a few classes. Very disappointed, nice book if your child knows nothing about the subject but still way over priced.
