In one word - Brilliant!
This has been our saviour. We have 3 5-month old kittens who are into everything. We canโt eat in their presence without them trying to climb onto the plate! I was looking for something that would both entertain and feed them and limit the food for the largest of the 3, and thought Iโd try this. Itโs brilliant. A handful of dried kitten food and theyโre entertained for a good 10-15 mins. Also the smaller (and brighter) kittens can get loads of food from the trickier bowls, and the larger (slightly less bright) kitten is limited to those areas he can work out/be bothered to try to get food from. Itโs pretty heavy (I was expecting cheap plastic and itโs certainly not that) and big enough for 3 at once. No sign of it being flipped or moved. Anytime we want some peace and quiet we can pop some food in (from their daily โallowanceโ) and itโs all good. Theyโve also been known even to leave some when they had enough so would also work for those cats who donโt know when to stop (do they do a human version!!!???) ๐ Iโd highly recommend.

Great investment!
I'm so glad I purchased this product, it's such a great investment. The quality is much better in real life. Online it looks like white flimsy plastic, but it came as a sturdy, thick (and heavy), light grey tray. The non-slip feet are fine on my laminate flooring, but my eager cat still manages to push it along. I worried that the lack of sides would mean there would be food everywhere on the floor, but the cat won't let any food go to waste, so that's not a problem. My cat loves it! He figured it out pretty quickly, and despite being a 5kg boy, he is able to get food from all the parts. I like the diversity of this puzzle feeder - which is what made me decide to try it, even though it looked of lesser quality in the photos. It really slows down meal time and taps into that hunting instinct which is rewarded by eating. I still feed my cat his wet food in a ceramic bowl, as the puzzle would get dirty pretty quickly otherwise. But it's perfect for dry food. Overall, I'm really impressed and would highly recommend this product.

Mostly good, but remove the globes
Very well made and stable for the price and a great way to keep indoor cats mentally stimulated. My only complaint is the globes along the front edge are too steep and have a slight lip on the inside which makes getting the treat out way too difficult. My cat figured out the techinques pretty quickly, he can get treats from the other parts of the board with a bit of effort, but never actually managed to get the treat out of a globe after days of trying. I had to remove the globes in the end because it was just making him frustrated and winding him up rather than burning mental energy and calming him down.

The perfect product to provide some much needed enrichment, and make your cat happy
From fishing rod toys to laser pens, walk down the cat section of any store and you will note that everything is designed to promote and imitate 'natural' hunting behaviours. Why? because cats are soley motivated by food. For them, hunting releases much needed endorphins which encourage a much happier cat, and therefore a much healthier cat. Enrichment through these toys is usually a given for any cat owner, and often results in giving 'treats'. I do not condone giving treats to any cat, they are a huge cause of obesity in our pets and it is much better to instead give them part of their daily food allowance. Anyway, if food is so important to our cats, why is enrichment during feeding time so overlooked? I suppose we find it easier to just pop it in a bowl for them rather than hide it around the house or whatever. Well this is your answer. You can use it just as you would a food bowl, and not have to do any of the work hiding the food. Personally, I purchased this because my cat has many behavioural issues and wanted something to provide cognitive enrichment combined with her feeding time. As a rescue cat, she is reactive, nervous and therefore easily stressed. Since purchasing this product back in June she has improved leaps and bounds. It took her a while to get used to using it, and sometimes a little persuasion as she would attempt to get me to pop the food in a bowl by ignoring the food in the tray. However, once she got the hang of using the product, she was well away. She is now more affectionate, less stressed around other cats and people and is much less nervous. Though this product was not the sole reason for that, it did play a large part. After all enrichment is intended to promote positive and natural behaviour. Other positive attributes this boasts: - It can be used for both dry and wet food as well as water - It's is easy to clean (can be rinsed in the sink and the bowls on the edge can be removed and washed separately too) - Useful in combating obesity in your pet or just to help keep your pet trim! - Good for older pets as they can lay down and still get at the food easily - Is large enough to feed multiple cats, if that's your thing. - Is not an eyesore! So get this and make a positive change in your cats life!

Hours of fun for paws large and small
We have two cats who yearn to eat 'Dreamies/catisfactions' snacks morning noon and night (and in between one tells me to write). The treats in the yellow packet being their absolute favourites. We bought one of these activity boards hoping that it would encourage paw dexterity, work their (few) little grey cells and reduce the large number of bags required to keep the cats happy. The cats in question were just around 18 months old when the first activity board arrived. We also purchased the Trixie Cat Activity Turn Around. Both devices were immediately welcomed by one of the cats, he was happy to develop his nose and paw skills in order to access a previously only dreamt of number of treats in a small amount of time. The second cat joined in initially, she was particularly good at the Turn Around toy and at accessing treats placed in the more difficult to access places on the board. Soon though our second cat decided it not her place to interrupt her brother's activities. I was concerned that there was some cat psychology at work here and that the male had been dominant and made clear to his sister that these were his treats, his treat activities and he had no need of assistance. So I decided to purchase a second Activity Board, placing one each with identical numbers of treats stashed for each cat. I placed them at opposite ends of the room in the hope that this would discourage George from further intimidating his sister. No such luck. George cleared his own board and then progressed to the second, untouched by Prune who simply sat and watched. I can only think that this was due to my mistake in providing Prune with treats on her own while we were waiting for the second Board to arrive. In a final effort to entice both cats to use the boards I put Prune, her board and her treats in a separate room so that she could take her time and enjoy her treats without pressure from her brother. All of this met with no success. While Prune had shown at the start that she could extract the treats from any of the parts of the Activity Board she simply didn't bother. Clearly she had learnt that simply waiting would result in me developing sufficient sympathy to give her the treats in more traditional fashion in the end. So, the Board as a concept appears a success in that both cats proved quickly that they were capable of working out where the treats might be found (visible or not, so nose and paw skills developed alongside sight). George's little grey cell(s) developed sufficiently to deal with all of the obstacles presented by the Board. Prune's, perhaps more sophisticated little grey cells worked out that she didn't in fact need to exert any effort because eventually she would get what she wanted anyway. In addition to using the Board to seek out treats George will accidentally on purpose drop things that he likes chasing amongst the various obstacles in order to provide himself with entertainment as he tries to extract them. Our cats have large paws being Maine Coon. I'm sure the Activity Board would suit any size cat from kitten upwards, similarly the Turn Around Activity toy made by the same people which is also really well made.

Good but a bit too difficult
Well designed product, but my 4 month old kittens can only do the first two puzzles - (1) the squares on top of the tunnel, which they use their tongues for and (2) the wavy part, which they use their paws for. They donโt donโt like (3) the spiky part, for some reason. And the bowls (4) are really difficult - the hole at the top is too small, so they can pull the treats up with their paws, but end up dropping them back down again. I tried putting chicken strips in the bowls, thinking theyโd be able to grab it more successfully, but the same thing happened. Itโs a bit frustrating for them, so I just stick to the first two puzzles. The tunnel is good for hiding toy mice in - it mimics the behaviour of prey in the wild. They enjoy pulling them out!

Amazing product, Iโve purchased twice
Best thing Iโve ever bought for my cats. They are so greedy and always used to eat too fast and then bring it all back up. This is great for slow feeding and making them work for their food. Plus very interactive play

Fun for the cats
Purchased for my cats, one who gorges on biscuits then is often sick afterwards. This has slowed his feeding habits down and the gorging and vomiting episodes have stopped. Easy to clean and sturdy design. Nicely weighted so can not to tipped over. Fun as lots of different positions the biscuits can go in to make the cat work for the food and slows them down too. So pleased with this. The video is from when we first put the feeder down for the cats. It has been down for nearly a year now and they still love to grab the biscuits and keeps them entertained for ages. Very good price when purchased and solid puzzle feeder for cats

I am using it to help control kitty food intake. Great diet tool!
I absolutely love this product, and I wish I would have found it sooner. My kitties are currently on a diet, and they were getting fed twice a day. They would all scarf down their food, sometimes too fast and they would throw it up (not good for them or me!) I ordered this initially as a treat feeder, but quickly changed it to my cats' permanent feeder. Although they still get fed twice a day, this feeder makes them work for their food, slowing them down so they can't inhale their food. Additionally, even though the amount of food that I give them has not changed, there is frequently food left over when it is time for the next feeding. I think that this indicates that they only eat what they really need, because they are too lazy to work for more food than they are hungry for. The center has 4 sections (well 5 if you count under the arch). I have found that there are really only 2 sections that make my cats work for their food. Going from the picture, on the far left is the arch. On top of the arch there are little sections that can fit several pieces of food, but a couple of my cats can eat them right out of the sections, which defeats the point of making them work for their food. The next section is a set of wavy dividers. My cats quickly figured out that they can take their paw and pull back all of the kibbles in a wave divider, and then eat a bunch at a time, again defeating the point. The next section is full of vertical fingers. This is one of the sections that I put their food in. They have to use their paws and they can only get a couple kibbles at a time, which serves my purpose of slowing them down and making them work for their food. The final section is 4 bubbles with holes at the top. I also put their food in this section. They can use their paws to scrape out a couple kibbles at a time. All of my cats (6) quickly learned to use each section of this, although they tend to have their favorite sections. I know this is anthropomorphizing, but I really think they have to concentrate and think when they get the kibble out, and they seem to enjoy the challenge. Since purchasing this, I have gotten several other thinking food puzzles for them, but this remains my favorite that all of my cats can do. Some of them are too complicated for some of my less gifted kitties, but all of them can do the activity center, which makes it a great feeder. I also love that it can be thrown in the dishwasher! Even though I am not using it for what I thought I would when I bought it, I like it even more using it this way, My kitties have only been on a diet for a couple of months, and some of them still have a ways to go, but using this eliminates the begging because they can get the food when they want it, but it makes it hard for them to overeat. The ONLY bad side to this is that it is plastic, and I have heard that it is not good to feed animals from plastic (though I am not sure exactly why). Perhaps chemicals from the plastic? If you are looking for something to challenge your cats, or just something to help put them on a diet, give this a try!

Keeps my ragdoll occupied
I scatter a small scoop of his kibble around the activity board and a few higher value treats in the harder to reach places like the cups and the middle of the tunnel. He learnt very quickly how to get at the "easier" ones and spends a bit more time on the "harder" ones. Definitely recommend to stimulate your cats problem-solving skills with reward.
