This is an absolute must-have if you work with cables. The quality is excellent and it handled every cable I threw at it without any issues. Stripping is quick, clean, and saves a lot of time compared to cheaper tools. The blade is super sharp and the ergonomic grip is spot on. It feels great in the hand and gives you good control, even in tighter spaces. Everything about it feels well thought out and properly made. There are cheaper options out there, but I’m glad I went with Knipex. The build quality and performance easily justify the price.

Excellent tool

I have used this on 1.5mm 3core High tuff cable, and it cleanly quickly sliced around the external insulation and stripped it inside a conduit box, so I'm happy with it just for that! Using the shorter end with the smaller blades on alarm cable also made it much faster than usual, working perfectly as far as I could tell. The stripping blades on the side do work as they should, but still can't beat my snips for ease and speed of stripping, especially when there are lots of cores sprouting from the same box, as the side-on action puts the cores directly where you're working, but they do strip cleanly and with ease, handy for swa or other cores with tougher insulation. I can't vouch for the longevity of the blades, but if they last a year, I'll be happy with the price of the tool.

Great little tool, bit expensive for what it is but very good and easy to use

Great tool. Speeds up stripping almost all wires on site. Just make sure you get the left or right handed one as appropriate, it does make a difference!!

La prima volta che ho provato questo spela cavi ho avuto problemi perché il prodotto era difettoso, ma quello che ho provato ora è perfetto. Il prodotto è assolutamente valido, comodo, funzionale, di qualità ed assolutamente facile da utilizzare grazie alla sua forma simile a quella di una pistola che rende la presa ottimale durante l’utilizzo. La parte anteriore, utilizzabile sbloccando il pulsante blu, è davvero efficiente e non è necessaria alcuna pressione al fine di spelare i cavi in quanto basta semplicemente posizionare il cavo sui taglienti, fare presa sulla parte sporgente posta al centro dello spela cavi e su cui è presente il grip blu, ruotare una volta verso destra ed una verso sinistra, pinzare qualche millimetro indietro rispetto al punto in cui si è tagliato il cavo ruotando, tirare muovendo leggermente il cavo su e giù ed il gioco è fatto. Ho spiegato tutto alla moviola al fine di darvi un’idea di come funzioni questo eccellente spela cavi, e vi garantisco che basteranno pochi minuti per comprendere alla perfezione il funzionamento. Nella zona laterale dello spela cavi è possibile lavorare su cavi con spessori minori: 0.2 - 0.3 - 0.8 - 1.5 - 2.5 - 4.0 Al centro, dove è presente la sporgenza con sopra il grip blu, vi è una micro lama con la quale è possibile, posizionando un cavo a mo’ di pinza, spelare i cavi longitudinalmente. Questo spela cavi è semplicemente eccellente, e dato che ne sono totalmente soddisfatto non posso che consigliarvi assolutamente questo prodotto. Knipex 16 95 01 Voto 10 su 10 !!!

Pricey, but totally worth it to be able to clean strip small circular cables! It's KNIPEX, it's german, it's absolute quality!
