Review: Awesome product. But do not mistake: This is not a USB adapter! - Works great on my Dell Latitude E6510. The screen resolution is a bit off, and I get the picture exceeding the screen, but that's probably because I'm connecting my high resolution Dell to a 42" 1080p screen, and the resolutions don't match. Has nothing to do with the cable. It's well built, arrived in time and works just as expected. I saw some 1-star reviews complaining about being mislead to think this is a USB adapter. The item's title clearly reads "DisplayPort to HDMI", not USB! It's also very visible that the slanty Shape of the DisplayPort connector is NOT an USB one (also it doesn't say USB anywhere in the product's description).

**Q: laptop has no hdmi but my tv does what cable do i need to connect laptop to tv . thank you**
A: Does your Laptop have a DisplayPort? This is a socket that looks like a slightly larger USB socket (sometimes these can also be used for USB connectors) The socket is rectangular, but if you look closely you will see that the left side of the socket (as you look at it) has the bottom corner cut off. If you do have a DisplayPort then you can buy a display port to HDMI converter and then plug in a standard HDMI lead between the laptop and the TV. If your laptop only has a VGA connector for an external screen, you can also buy a VGA to HDMI adaptor cable, although I have never used one of those so cannot tell you how good that would be. Hope that helps.

**Q: Hello, Will this work on a MacBook Pro? and will it also send the audio signal to the TV? cheers.**
A: I cannot gaurantee that it will work with MacBook Pro, but the displayport is an 'industry standard' so if the MacBookPro has a display port connection then it should work. Hope this helps. It works really well on my laptop PC, very pleased.

A: no unfortunately it is not what you think it is sorry

**Q: Does this also support audio?**
A: Well its a video/audio adaptor so as long as you use it correctly and for the right purpose yes. Bear in mind what it is. Its a display port adaptor so you need a computer or whatever that has one. Hewlett Packard computers tend to have a display port. Check your appliance for compatibility.

Works great on my Dell Latitude E6510. 2nd attempt on getting a HDMI to DP adapter for my monitor and this one so far works a treat! EDIT: It started having major issues about 11 months after I got it, monitors regularly losing display feed when i'd close down video games or flickering on and off a bunch. Gonna see if they'll honor the 3-year warranty mentioned on the packaging.
