BRIO World Deluxe Wooden Railway Train Set for Kids Age 3 Years Up

Makes for a delightful Christmas present.

We ordered this Brio set for our twin boys. It came with a small storage box. The set contains a very wide range of pieces and needs to be assembled by an adult. There is a great variety of track sections, stations, and types of vehicle. This includes a crane, tube train with inbuilt flashing head lights (excellent), boat to dock with train/cranes, and figures that fit in the trains. The pieces are beautifully made, with great attention to detail. For example, the lorry has a cab that opens to reveal the engine, and the rear section slides to release "cargo" (which can in turn be picked up by the crane with the magnet). The set in its entirety is (a little) advanced for our two year old boys in terms of having the skills to construct it and not pull it apart - but they are playing with all the vehicles/trains on sections of the track. Overall, a big hit with them, and a good investment for future play. I wouldn't change anything about the set, I'd just make the storage box a little bigger - especially as we will be buying additional bits. Recommend.

Well built, great product.

Bought for our sons 5th birthday. He really loves the set but needs help assembling it. It's good quality wood, and a very nice town set. It is not cheap, clearly. But it will be his to treat well, play with, and pass on to his own kids one day. It is durable wood after all. Goes well with the RC engine and even the smart tech engines. It's quite large and will need some floor space, so bear that in mind when your child won't let you put it away :)

This train set provided everything a young child requires to explore the joy of trains and cargo ships young imaginations , have every oportuniy.

A beautiful and good quality brio set with lots of interesting things for a train obsessed toddler to play with. Love the multi level play, the little lift in the station and the loading dock for the boat. My 3 year old plays with this every day and is very pleased with the gift. Hours of fun ahead.

This a fantastic train set!! I wasn’t sure about getting it because of the price and have always opted for cheaper versions such as John Lewis. Tried to find second hand brio but it seems to hold its value really well so I just thought I would invest. My son who is 4 is able to follow the instructions to build himself and he just loves it!! Christmas Day he played with it for hours and has done ever since! Highly recommend!

I bought this for my 3 children.We have not opened it yet since it is for Easter but I saw it from the box and it appears to be a very nice piece of toy. Excellent wood quality as well. it is also good that there storage box to keep all pieces inside.It is just a bit expensive. I regretted the fact I did not wait a bit for the price to fall before buying when a week later I noticed it had half price.that ;s the only CON

Es una pista impresionante, muy chula y de muy buena calidad y por supuesto no le falta detalle. La compre para mi hijo de 2 años, al que le fascinan los trenes y le ha encantado, echa horas jugando con la pista todos los días. Es cierto que los anclajes se desarman con facilidad, pero es que este tipo de pistas son todas así. Si el niño quisiera montar una pista usando la imaginación y los anclajes fueran duros le costaría montarla. La pista tal cual aparece en la foto lógicamente un niño tan pequeño no la da montado, yo se la monte al peque y todavia no la desarmó, de hecho si se le cae alguna pieza, rápido me viene a dar las quejas para que se la coloque otra vez. Aquí en casa jugamos todos con ella, es muy entretenida. Yo le compre la locomotora que va a pilas de la misma marca que va genial. La pega que le pongo, es que la caja en la que viene, aunque es muy chula y se convierte en tapiz, cuando la abres y transformas en tapiz es enana, no coge ni la mitad de la pista encima, con lo cual mo le veo el sentido. Aún así la recomiendo totalmente.

Super circuit! je l'avais acheté pendant le confinement et depuis mon fils de 4 ans joue encore tous les jours avec! J'avais déjà racheté d'autres éléments à part et pour l'anniversaire de mon petit je continue avec le lavage Smart tech, les aiguillages et le pont catastrophe. A noter que les éléments d'autres marques vont parfaitement bien avec. Parfois les rails se détachent; celles qui passent sur les ponts surtout, j'ai solutionné le problème avec de la pâte à fixe. Mais sinon très bonne qualité, c'est un jeu qui est "beau" à voir et qui offre des heures de jeu. Je suis très satisfaite de mon achat et de l'univers Brio!

Un juguete bien hecho

Bellissima pista della brio completa di tanti accessori. Costa un bel po' ma per il mio pargolo questo ed altro, me la chiedeva da 5 mesi. Regalo natalizio. Tutta in legno, è davvero preziosa. Peccato però non abbiano incorporato almeno un trenino a batteria, pazienza! Per il resto gioco di lusso!!!

I'm a Thomas the Tank Engine buff firsthand. However, I've been looking to expand my Thomas Wooden Railway collection. I purchased a few Brio pieces and I absolutely love Brio now. It's very modern, very sturdy, and looks great on your Thomas the Tank layout. Therefore, I decided to buy myself this set as a Christmas present to myself and it doesn't disappoint. What do I like about this set? For starters, the box was packed very well. The set also includes a reusable tub to store the set in once you're finished playing which is a massive bonus. Everything was stored very neatly and very well. A lot of care was put into the packaging to ensure that the pieces don't get damaged whilst in transport. The set is a great size and has a lot going on to keep kids busy. There's a freight train with plenty of cargo to be delivered, and two passenger trains. One is a subway type train, the other is just a standard passenger train. There are also plenty of figurines and other vehicles to enhance the action. The bus and truck are fun additions too, as well as the massive cargo ship. Plenty for kids to keep them playing. I feel that this set better presents itself than the Thomas & Friends Wooden Train sets. A lot of the Thomas sets are based around gimmicks. Why do we need Thomas to jump the bridge, or slide down the massive ramp, or do just about any outlandish stunt? Don't we want our trains to do real train stuff? The Thomas sets are also more about going in one continuous motion and there aren't a lot of things to do. This Brio set has so much going on and has so many jobs to do. You can take passengers, load and deliver cargo, and you can keep going for hours upon hours. It really feels like a train set and not a gimmicky toy. All of the pieces in this set are very sturdy, durable, and are built to last. You don't need to worry, this set is made to be dropped and punished. A very safe and durable product. The attention to detail is absolutely fantastic too. Signs, maps, ticket booths, and more are all included and really enhance the set and its appearance. Extra detail goes a long way for sure. Like all things, I did find some things about this set that I didn't like. For starters, a few of my pieces had a bit of wear straight out of the box. Some of the corners on the train station roof were showing a bit of edgewear, and a few pieces of track were showing a bit of roughness with some splinters coming off the ends. Nothing major, but I find it a bit unprofessional that there's already a little damage right when opening. Also, the instructions were a bit of a brainteaser for me. Some things on the included instruction sheet were unclear such as a few sections of track assembly and where some of the track elevations go. I had to use the small pictures on the box to work out where things go in some cases. In the future, I would like Brio to print more clear instructions that better illustrate where pieces go and how certain track connections are made. I also found that I had a hard time with the figurines. They don't want to sit in the trains very well. This gets especially annoying when this prevents you from passing under the tracks because the figures heads sit too high, or going over the bridges because their hands get caught on the sides of the bridge. You have to put them in a certain, careful, way or else you won't get very far. It might just be me though, because I'm not use to these figures yet. Just me being picky, but I find the subway train to be a bit annoying. This train makes sounds when you move it, and you have to keep it moving or else the sound will start and stop, start and stop, start and stop. I'm most likely going to take the batteries out, so parents, you might want to do the same thing. My last criticism is the price. I don't feel that this set is worth the price that it normally retails for. Almost $500 for this set is a bit of a letdown if you ask me. If you can get this set for a greatly reduced price, like I did, go for it. Overall, I am VERY happy with this set. I would highly recommend to any parents looking for a train set for their kids, train lovers, or Thomas the Tank fans looking for a new train set for Thomas to roam the rails on.
