Size on website is wrong can you confirm size?

Do you put a normal indoor extension lead inside and then plug outdoor lights in. How many plugs does it take?

The socket end of your extension lead fits inside the box and it would accommodate up to 4 sockets providing your plugs are standard 3pin and not RCD type.

I need something safe and waterproof to charge mobility scooter overnight outside? Is this ok for that?

Well, the box is certainly a weatherproof enclosure so long as you feed the flex cable through the rubber holes and make sure that the clamp is firmly in place afterwards. Therefore an indoor extension lead would be OK and you can rest the socket part within the box. The plug socket in the house must be RCD protected. I would recommend mounting/fixing the box on something solid outdoors. Also you will need to protect the outdoor section of the flex cable from damage.
