A BRILLIANT PIECE OF KIT
For years I have tried to keep my knives sharp using a stone with limited success. So after seeing an article in a newspaper I discovered the Global Water Sharpener. It came number one out of ten reviewed. Not cheap but what a tool. Sharpened my knives to razor sharpness so I opened the drawer and got out some old blunt knives. After following the procedure a few times they are now sharp again. Simple to use just drawing the knife back and forth, and as the sharpening stones are angled you are always sharpening correctly. Dont hesitate to buy this if you want quality.

Sharp! Sharp! Sharp!
Had my Global Knives for years and had been using the Global ceramic steel to keep them sharp. Unfortunately, the steel has recently broken and I have been looking for a replacement. This Global Ceramic Water Sharpener is fantastic and in my opinion does a better job than the ceramic steel and at a much cheaper price than buying a new steel. Very happy with it and would recommend.

Overall good
This sharpener is amazing for my global chefs knife. I’ve used it on some of my smaller global utility knives and also a cooks knife and I’ve found it’s scratching the side of the blade. A bit disappointing as it’s advertised to be able to sharpen all global knives.

Does a great job
Really does the job. Every knife comes out razor sharp. Easy to use. Not the cheapest of it's type, but worth the money

Global quality.
Was just about to place an order for an Anysharp Pro. Then luckily I read a review of the Anysharp telling me it was unsuitable for Japanese Global knives. Anysharp set up to give a 20 degree edge and Global knives set up for 10-15 degree edge. I have a set of Global knives and these were what I almost bought the Anysharp for. Did a quick search for a Global knife sharpener and found this item instantly. A bit expensive I thought, but so were my knives so ordered one anyway. Arrived quickly and after trying it out on my two most used knives, the results are very very impressive. Sliced up a fresh bought firm tomato like the knife did a few years ago when it was brand new. Recommended...........for Global knives.

You can buy new wheels when the wear out
I've had Global knives for 20 plus years and the sharpener just the same, but this new disign is a lot better than the old ones.

The best knife sharpener I have ever used
I like very sharp knives, especially for Slicing onions and tomatoes, but I can’t do knife sharpening on a steel or whetstone (haven’t been taught how) so have always relied on a counter top sharpener. Until I bought a global knife, that is. My sharpener seemed to blunt my global knife so I looked for a better solution. The price of this sharpener was at first a shocker for me but frankly it’s worth it. All my knives are now properly sharp, which is a revelation to me as I still have had no formal knife sharpening training. Totally recommend this product. Quick and easy to use either way round (most of my household members are left handed) and the effects are just what I was looking for.

Not working for me
I have global knife, however this doesn’t work for me. Maybe my knifes are too old? Had a similar shsrpener from my local pound shop, it worked better for a fraction of the price.

I have a couple of Global knives and have used the wet stone to keep them sharp for a couple of decades. Some attempts came out really well and others not fantastic. I have given this sharpener a go and was surprised how easily and quickly I could sharpen the knives. Passed the slicing well ripened tomatoes test!
