BLACK+DECKER BL1518-XJ 18 V 1.5 A Lithium Ion Battery

So far the battery has taken a full charge. The battery came in black and decker sealed box and seems like a genuine item. It also did fit my old b & d drill driver.

The type needs to be stronger when charged but very strong when fully charged and cuts out suddenly with about a 20 second rest it fires and then dies again.

I bought two of these for our cordless chainsaw, as we needed to do a lot of cutting (a tree fell down in recent gales). I hadn't realised how badly the previous battery had become since we bought it with the chainsaw in 2020. These new batteries gave a lease of new life to the chainsaw which can now whizz through almost anything. One problem is that if you're using the chainsaw for a long sustained period (eg cutting through a thickish trunk), then the battery can overheat which will cause it to stop working, even though it is not discharged. Having a few batteries to cycle through means that you can let one battery cool down while you're using another, then switch back. I've marked the battery down slightly for longevity as the previous battery has obviously lost a lot of capacity, and is only 3 years old, and it has not been heavily used. I am assuming that these will be the same, but I will monitor it.

Fit for purpose

I was trying to purchase the Lithium ion phosphate battery that would replace the 12V battery of the Black + Decker drilling machine, but unfortunately it is totally different from that of the machine. Since It has the USB port I thout of using it for other purposes but now the problem is to charge it since it is very difficult to get the charger which is compatible with this battery.

Produit fiable. Très pratique. J'en avais déjà trois pour divers appareils; avec celle-ci j'ai quatre batteries et donc deux batteries supplémentaires pour ma tondeuse.
