An "SAE" connect is an SAE connection, in the same way that a UK 3 pin mains plug is a UK 3 pin mains plug, the name denotes a type and format. A few chargers do use their own unique ends, example Oxford Optimate motorcycle charger, but if your AA end looks like the one in this picture then yes, it'll be an SAE end.
