MasterClass Heavy Duty Y-Shaped Swivel Potato Peeler

I bought this and a cheaper version to compare the difference as the blade kept falling out of my older y peeler. This peeler feels robust. Very sharp. Has the right width for a comfy grip. Don't feel the need to press the peeler - it glides and takes off the right amount of skin layering on the veg. I am impressed. As for the cheaper one - already I've got to glue the hand grip back to it. It's lighter and so you feel you have to apply pressure to peel anything.

Yes it's a good peeler but be careful it is extremely sharp. Twice I have slipped, the first time it ripped through my thumb nail very painful. The second time it slipped on the potato and ripped the tip of my ring finger off and almost the tip of my pinky finger. My ring finger bled for 3 hours. Not the fault of the peeler and I'm not young but I have never in my life done anything like this and now twice with this peeler.

I bought this vegetable peeler 4 years ago and am so pleased with it. Very strong and feels very hard wearing. It cuts through potatoes like butter with not much effort. The blade is very sharp and never needs sharpening. It peels butternut squash with little effort too. I am so pleased with this product I bought one for my daughter in law and she is delighted with it too.

This is a great item, it peels potatoes, and other veg with ease. It has a heavy, easy grip handle, that feels right in the hand. This little beauty, would .also not look out of place, in a professional kitchen. Its dishwasher safe, and has a 10 year guarantee, and for the price, its well worth not even thinking about it, and just buying it. I will certainly be recommending it to my friends and family.

Sharpest pealer I’ve used. Very comfortable to hold, the shape is great, it’s reasonably weighted and the blade rotates partially while peaking so your wrist doesn’t have to. Can be put in the dishwasher, but I wouldn’t often. I’ve had a few of these, and the handle on one went rough after regular use in the dishwasher. Will happily peal through tougher veg such as parsnips and sweet potatoes. Go on, you know it makes sense.

I had a really great peeler the kid took with her when she moved out and I was bummed because it was great. I replaced it with this peeler and holy crap! Now I feel bad mine is better than hers! This peeler has some weight to it, so you don't have to push down as hard and it's SUPER SHARP. It just glides along the vegetables and peels the skin off with ease. Great product!

So I bought a peeler 5 years ago from a large reputable retailer for $60.00 and I've hated it ever since but couldn't justify buying another one because of how much I spent on it. I finally had enough and went out on a limb and bought this one. After peeling four Yukon Gold potatoes with such ease and precision I opened my utility drawer and took that 60 dollar peeler and threw it straight in the garbage. This peeler will peel paper thin slices of potato skin like nobody's business. Amazing product. Thank you.
