Cable Matters 4K DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable 2m (DP to DP Cable) with 4K (3840 x 2160@60Hz), 2K (2560 x 1440@144Hz) support - 2 Metres

Unfortunately I couldn't get the cable to recognise my DP port there could be a number of reasons for this as my computer is 10 years old so I had to use an HDMI cable instead.

I bought an amazon DisplayPort cable as I thought with the cable being Amazon, with good reviews, and rep, I wouldn’t have any issues. At first I didn’t, all was well, but approx one year after owning the cable if the cable was moved ever so slightly the screen would flicker off and on. I could not use the swivel on my monitor or move the pc chassis at all without the screen flickering. I eventually got annoyed of having to readjust the cable I needed to buy a new cable. I looked online for a new cable, checked some forums and read that people had issues with many different brands of DisplayPort cables, mentioning issues of the monitor disconnecting and flickering. To cause confusion I found information that said the solution was to buy a cable with pin 20 disconnected. After the monitor flickered a few more times, driving me up the wall, I took a chance and ordered this locking mechanism cable from cable matters, it works well, no more monitor flickering and I can even wiggle the cable slightly at the back of the monitor/graphics card, no issues at all. Cheap solution. Cable seems well made. Problem solved.

Had the cable in approximately 30 minutes. Seems like a strong and solid cable. Allows my display to display 1080p 144hz without problem. Does state on the page that it will support up to 4k at 60hz but i don't have the monitor to test that sadly. Item has some clips to keep the display port in place. these seem a bit stiff but at least they are durable and i don't feel like it is going to fall out. No issues so far. £8 can't really go wrong. Will update the review if the cable fails or there are any issues

I needed a long cable which could go around my monitor arm to be hidden, does exactly that. I see tons of people claiming DisplayPort is superior to HDMI but as someone who isn't heavily invested in tiny quality changes, it is virtually the same for me. The 4 star review is purely based on the thickness and stiffness of the cable, it's not as flexible as I had hoped and being inexperienced with DisplayPort, I don't know if it is usually so thick but this cable is. If you are not fussed over flexibility and just need a long cable, it's good. Very good value for money.

I've owned mine for three years now and it's still working perfectly. For the price, this DisplayPort cable works really well and provides much higher data transfer rates than HDMI. The only issue that I've had with it, is that it's quite easy to knock and even a slight knock temporarily disrupts the display and causes the screen to go black. This wouldn't be an issue if your monitor is further away on your desk or wall mounted. Overall, great budget DisplayPort cable which greatly improved the delay I was receiving to my monitor. I would recommend this cable!

Excellant cables that lock in to place with a great signal to the monitors

I bought a different cable for my dads pc as I needed it quickly and this one wasn’t in stock. Wish I hadn’t, ended up sending that one back as it was faulty and buying this one instead anyway. Didn’t save any time or money and should of just bought this one anyway. Great cable, have bought a few of these now and had no issues with them whatsoever.

Finally got a monitor with a display port. It is about 5 metres away from my PC. I can now ditch my clunky 5 metre DVI cable with this much thinner display port version. It works perfectly.

It's a cable. It's the first of its kind that I've ever purchased. I have nothing bad to say about it. Delivery was fast. I put my computer on the other side of a wall, and only have the monitor/mouse/keyboard/speakers on my desk. This makes my desktop less cluttered, although it is a bit of a pain when I occasionally have to reboot or burn a DVD/CD. I guess I can get a desktop burner, but that's not really a huge priority. This is mainly because I'm in the process of remodeling my office and want to keep dust away from the main computer case & fans. 15ft. was the perfect length for me, which also allowed me to route all the cables neatly out of sight - and bundle, hide and secure all cables using black split wire loom conduit/sheathing and velcro straps. Overall I'm very happy with the cable. It seems to click into place firmly, is constructed of quality materials, and seems to have good insulation/sheathing on it. I think it does wiggle a little bit once it's inserted, but I haven't noticed any negatives because of this. It may not be the cable's fault. Video quality noticeably improved over using VGA. Would buy another one. P.S. This was for a Dell Ultrasharp IPS monitor, which has the DisplayPort plug but no HDMI. This is a bit of a problem, as HDMI cables are much more readily available in nearly every store with an electronics section. Not so for DP. It is indeed true that you could get adapters to convert HDMI to DPort, but I was concerned about signal loss and video quality, although this may be an unsubstantiated fear.

Inicialmente comprei um produto mais barato de marca desconhecida, meu monitor de 144hz ficava piscando sem parar. Então decidi comprar um produto de qualidade porém sabendo que o preço seria consideravelmente maior, mas garanto que valeu a pena, o monitor apresentou a qualidade de imagem que deveria entregando os 144hz, não tive mais o problema do monitor piscar. Recomendo!

Prodotto perfetto con un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Particolarmente curata la confezione, che è facilmente riutilizzabile per custodire altri cavi. Consigliatissimo.
