TILE RITE FBS718 Flexible Bath Seal on a roll, 3.5m Length

Ideal size for bath surround but adhesion is very hit and miss I am now having to buy a sealant glue to fix the problem

This cost £5.17 and tbh if I'd have got a Fiver and set fire to it, I'd have at least got warm which is more than I can say about this chocloate teapot of a product. It is nowhere near sticky enough to even remain in place a few minuts let alone any longer - I cleaned and dried the area where I was using it very very thoroughly. But even then, my suspicions were aroused by how "dry" the adhesive side was. It was way less sticky than even Sellotape so I was a bit worried. My worries were completely well founded when I applied this to the wall pressed it in along its entire length and it just "popped" back away from where it should have been. Now I can see some people have left some good reviews about this and all I can say is maybe they were lucky and got a fresh batch. Mine was not even close to being sticky enough and has possibly been in a warehouse past its sell by date. I ended up using it with a load of Silicon Sealant to stick it down.

The product is OK but very poor adhesive probably due to how narrow it is, a wider strip may be more successful.

Easy to apply, surfaces must be completely dry and free of any moisture before application. I found some of the strip peeled off after using the bath, so have had to replace it.

Will not stick to sealant around bath. so stripped off. Only to find still did not stick properly ☹

Bought this product to see what these strips are like, the finish wasn't as nice a normal silicon, finish, I cleaned the old silicon as I would normally wiped with white spirits etc. then left to dry completely, i turned up the heating in the house so the heat was higher then the temp suggested, then stuck the product down as per instructions the glue did not stick particularly well however, i weighed it down and left for a couple of hours, however this made no difference. overall i didn't like the look of the product when it was down either, i have removed the strips (really easy just pulled them up) then cleaned the little residue left (another sign of how good the glue wasn't) then put regular silicon down which took less time that the strips had to lay, so overall the product didn't look that good (in my opinion) didn't function well, and took more time than regular silicon sealant suffice to say i wont be trying these again.

Really flexible and easy to use, the adhesive is also excellent. We have used many similar products before and this is the best by far.
