Stunning!
A beautiful book. It doesn't matter that David Attenborough is only involved with the forward. The photos are absolutely stunning, and we finally learn more about species that we frequently didn't know much about. The Snow Leopard is an excellent example of this. The patience that the crew have had to use to get shots is incredible! All the photos are in colour as well. I liked reading the "Tales" section, which tells you of the difficulties and problems the film crew dealt with whilst filming. This book is worth every penny, and is a steal at the price of £12.00, particularly as the RRP price on the inside flap is £25.00! I have now got both DVD's and books of Planet Earth and Planet Earth 2. I would recommend anyone with an interest in the Natural World to get hold of the DVD's and Books of both Planet Earth's. You won't be disappointed!

Wonderfully written with superb photography. Great value for money and a joy to read

Great foreword. Many still frames instead of photos
A must for the die hard Planet Earth fan but there is an aspect that must be addressed: Many of the photos used in the book are snapshots from the actual movie file instead of still photos. Which considering the film was shot in 4K, are high resolution but fine pixelation is noticeable if looking for it. Sir David's foreword is as always, top notch.

ref1093 march6/2018 isbn 9781849909655. This excellent pictorial book was published to complement the BBC programme of the same name and is a first class account of the natural world. It is divided into 6 chapters 1) jungles 2)mountains 3)deserts 4) grasslandes 5) islands and 6) cities. The text is very well written and the photographs are good with the exception of those spread over 2 pages. Recommended.

Fantastic book; arrived fast and in great condition
I bought a second hand copy and it's almost like a brand new one; great value for money, very pleased with the retailer and their service. As for the book itself, it'd make a wonderful gift for the fans of Attenborough and wildlife in general, regardless of the age.

Fantastic book with some stunning photos
Fantastic accompaniment to the great series, this is a real must if you enjoyed watching the show as much as our family did. The pictures are quite stunning, and you will learn a great deal from the text which manages to be informative and educational without becoming boring.

Another Attenborough winner
As expected from a BBC/David Attenborough production this book is both a mine of information and thought provoking for the future of our planet. It is filled with astounding illustrations from across the globe. I may be biased towards the superb productions delivered from David Attenborough and the BBC but in my opinion this is the finest yet.
