Taliah Waajid Curly Curl Cream 177 ml/6 fl.oz

I was using "Diva Curl" for ages but I can't find it on Amazon any more. But I did find Taliah Waajid products and they are amazingly good for the price! I'm mixed-race and my hair is quite ethnic. Most products aimed at "White" folk just don't work for ethnic hair. So I end up with this terrible frizzy mess that makes me look like I live under a bridge and don't bathe. I decided to "risk" a low priced product (the Taliah Waajid line) and came out smiling: my hair loves it, I get lovely hydrated curls replacing my mortifying frizz. :-)

Best product in my hair cabinet, esp for 4B and 4C coils. No build up, very juicy.

love this product so much the only problem is it’s coming from the hair shop I normally buy it in and they are charging more for it here, also for the price of the product 177ml it’s not great quantity for money but the value is great it really defines the curls and the hold lasts at least the whole day if you like define curls this is the one but overall I’d rate it a 7/10

The best curly cream I have tried so far. I don't even need gel this does it all without flakes or being greasy. Excellent, even on lazy days when I have neglected my hair. I have 4c hair Definitely buying this again. Fast delivery too :)

1. The product is really thick, the consistency is somewhere between putty and plasticine. 2. It’s more of a sealant than a curl cream which I wasn’t expecting. This product is something like really concentrated flaxseed gel. It’s brownish but applies clear. It’s looks like if you made a dense terracotta flavoured jelly, but feels like overcooked pasta in your hands. You have to be careful not to let it slip out and have to put some elbow grease into working it into a paste. Then it starts to look like a wet styling clay. Unusual texture for a sealant which are usually more shea butter-like but it does work!!! My wash and go isn’t its best but its my fault for not using a leave-in. That being said it does give shine hold definition frizz reduction etc. My hair also took a long time to dry I only went to the shop for 5 mins and stayed inside which might be why it also may be bc I applied it to wet hair like a leave in and water was sealed in not anything moisturising(again my fault for assuming its a leave in). I haven’t tried it as a sealant yet because I already have the aunt jackie’s flaxseed sealant(FAIR WARNING: you can’t use this product alongside a sealant as i was planning to. It does say this on the packaging, I just didn’t read it properly). Compared to the seal me up sealant it’s a far better emulsion and doesn’t have any graininess residue and doesn’t separate which I love. It’s definitely not a cream or leave in but I’m excited to try it as a sealant because of how great my experience with their co-wash from this line was. I also want to stop using Aunt Jackie’s because 1. They formula always changes without warning! I use their jell and sealant but the consistency, freshness(it smells funky sometimes), and the way it works on my hair is always changing. 2. Aunt Jackie’s is not a black business but markets itself in a way that suggests it does which is false advertising. In conclusion this would make an EXCELLENT replacement if you use Aunt Jackie’s flaxseed seal me up sealant if like me you’re fed up with how inconsistent that product is but still need a replacement for you hairstyling.

Updated review: The trick with this product for twist outs is to use a very light hand. I found that when I used sparingly I didn't have the white residue and my twist outs turned out defined. ----- 3 stars is for seller: Item arrived promptly and was as described. As for the product though .. I had high hopes for this product, but it leaves white residue on my hair and doesn't mix well with anything else :(. After I use it, the only thing I can pretty much put on my hair is water and oils - no conditioner. It defines curls okay (not fantastic or anything) but the white residue for me is a killer. Such a shame. Hair type: Kinky, 4c

È arrivo privo della pellicola protettiva e leggermente svuotato! Avendo un prodotto simile (acquistato altrove) ho notato che colore e profumo non erano identici! Quindi non saprei che dire. Provandolo sul capello devo dire che ha un effetto diverso. Quindi non so !

Product is not bad, but it probably meant for a different hair type than mine I have 3A 3B hair that is probably medium thickness and fine strands. It made my hair feeling dry and puffy and crunchy feeling but overall not a bad product just not for my hair type.

This product is so amazing it smells so lovely. And does exactly what he needs to do. I understand the hype when you put it on your natural hair it instantly defines it and weighs it but not in a gel kind of way in a light refreshing way I very very much recommend this product for any 4C/4B Hair girlies

For my type 2C, thick, coarse, low porosity, frizz-prone hair, this is by far the best styling product I have found. First, let me state volume is not my problem -- I have too much hair that tends to go too big and poofy unless I weigh it down with moisturizing products and control gels. (It is possible this curl cream could be too heavy for finer hair.) Before finding this product, the only way I could get defined curls with minimum frizz was to wash every day and use my styling/control products. I use this curl cream to get defined 2nd and 3rd day curls. Contrary to the curlygirl rule of never combing through the hair, I gently comb out all the tangles, after which my hair becomes a frizzy, wavy cloud around my head. I push/scrunch the hair toward my scalp which gets the curls re-started. Then, I apply of a small amount curl cream to my hands and very quickly smooth my flat hands over & down the top surface of my hair (without any scunching or finger-combing!!) and then shake my hair to let the waves contract into loose spirals. I then flip my hair forward and do the same thing to the underneath strands of hair, smoothing the cream quickly from nape to ends of hair, shake again and flip the hair back into place as I stand up. Without any more touching of the hair, I just shake it a little and then leave my hair alone. My hair feels soft and does not feel coated with anything crunchy or stiff, though there is a sense of a light protective coating -- hard to describe. I've never found another product that does anything like this. For my hair, it is absolutely not greasy in the slightest, and there is still movement to my hair without being "flyaway" at the slightest breeze. It doesn't produce shine. All it does is completely control my frizz, define my curls, and keep my hair looking groomed, with good curl definition, for the rest of the day. After day 3 there is a feeling of build-up, which means it is time to wash. Less is best with this product -- it takes very little to accomplish the task.
