Hello would this whistle be ok for a child aged almost 9 who can already play the flute please? Thank you in advance

I think it would be a good addition to he/she musical instrument collection. Plus a lot easy to play then a flute.

Playing chromatics on this whistle is incredibly difficult but not impossible (half covering holes). I would recommend a different whistle for this feature but it is a great wee whistle for everything else.
