The only thing is you have to buy the timer module. Ok if you just want to turn it on and off
The Airflow iCON 15 is a fantastic upgrade over standard extractor fans. It looks incredibly smart with its unique, low-profile circular design. The best feature is the iris shutter it's like Stargare :D it opens and closes quietly like a camera lens and, critically, stops all cold backdraughts. My bathroom is warmer and there's no more rattling! It's whisper quiet but still incredibly effective at clearing steam quickly. I added the optional humidity module, and the automated operation is flawless. Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but the quality, silence, and brilliant anti-draught function make it 100% worth the investment. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a premium, effective, and quiet bathroom fan.

Quiet, functional ideal for style and performance
Nice looking stealth extractor, fairly quiet, shame it doesn’t have a delayed opening when you don’t need the fan when you only need the light on, but minor personal gripe, fits neat, looks neat closed and does the job of stopping back drafts when closed, all round good item.. likely buy another when I get around to it

Good idea, but has a fair few issues.
Like others, I bought this fan because of its iris shutter design. It was purchased to replace an existing extractor that had become noisy and had no shutters at all within its design. The lack of shutters meant a draught when the wind blew and caused a "pull" that you could feel in the whole house. So having seen one of these working in my Sister's house, it seemed to answer all the concerns and had no problem when deciding on which of the few shutter design extractors to go for. You buy this basic unit and it is an on/off fan with the power supply fed to it. So if you have a run-on timer unit, you will not get a run-on until you purchase the run-on timer module which is another £20 or so. In a way it's good because you're not buying something you may not need, but it would be good if the design of these modules were up to date (more on this later). Various modules are available; run-on, delay start and run-on, pull cord, movement sensing and humidistat. You choose the module you want and fit it in seconds. For your information, this is what happens without a module: 1 - turn on the light, the fan starts but the shutter remains closed for 30 seconds. 2 - After 30 seconds, the iris begins to open. 3 - The iris takes around 30 seconds to open. 4 - Turn off the light the fan stops. 5 - Approx 60 seconds later the iris begins to close. 6 - The iris takes around 30 seconds to close. So if this unit is used in a WC, the iris is unlikely to open fully before a "quick visit" is over and done with! Without the run-on timer, a "longer visit" will not be (shall we say) adequately ventilated! I ordered just the fan to begin with, it worked as above and eventually I decided to order a run-on timer. Prior to fitting the timer, it worked fine, but after fitting the fan made a grinding noise. I'm not sure where from, but no amount of adjustment to the timer or the wiring routing made a difference. After a half and hour of jiggling around with the shroud, I finally silenced it, but I can only assume fitting the timer pushes or pulls something out of flat. But now it's working perfectly and have no reason to believe it will not continue to do so. 4 stars overall as it works well out of the box. 3 stars for ease of installation. Given because I still believe if something is too difficult to install for the DIY minded then it shouldn't be sold on Amazon. And if you do, it should only come with user instructions. Supplying with fitting instructions suggests it is a DIY fitment. You have to choose, not dither. 3 stars for value for money. Expensive if you need to add a module and employ an electrician to fit. Noise level. Quieter than my old Xpelair, but it's a 4" fan, and any fan smaller than 6" will be noisy as it had to spin faster to have any decent extraction. But it is quieter than many I've heard. As for physical installation, if you are replacing a square extractor, this will not cover up what the old extractor leaves. I had to fill the 4 screw holes and patch in the paint which I luckily had some still to hand.

Brilliant
Really tidy little extractor fan. Easy to fit, looks miles better than the usual bulky square ones, and it moves a good amount of air for a small bathroom. The iris shutter is a nice touch too — no draughts coming back in. Quiet enough not to be annoying and does the job well.

Great fan, easy to install for a decent DIYer
A great fan, works great with the timer Bought as a replacement for my old one which had bitten the dust

Longevity
This is a replacement to an identical unit fitted 17 years ago. The impeller stopped rotating… I refitted the original timer module as it continued to work fine. The new unit had identical fittings so easy to replace. I have another fan also fitted 17 years ago which continues to work without issue. I can’t imagine there is a more durable alternative.

Very good fan as long as its set up correctly
I bought this fan and the humidity module for a small shower room with an existing 100mm hole where the previous fan was installed in October 2019. I chose it because of the size, capacity and the shutter which meant no annoying flappy external shutter. Also I could use my own external heritage terminal. Instalation was easy but care needs to be taken to keep it flat so that the shutter operates correctly. I had some real issues setting up the humidity stat and was just about to contact the company when I read about resetting it and then that it needs time to settle when adjusted. So instead of tweaking it often to try and get it to operate as I wanted I adjusted the humidity and then left it for a few days to settle. Hey presto it worked and now operating correctly every time. Comes on within minutes of starting the shower. Not the quietest but more than acceptable. Would recommend it and would buy it again

Good powerful fan
The icon 30 fan, good power for medium size bathroom fitted. Slow shutting/ opening aperture which looks effective. Easy wiring. Fairly quiet.
