To lose your child once is acceptable, but twice is just plain careless--even if the child is a precocious brat. Still, that's what happens in this double bill of popular slapstick comedies. Home Alone features young Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), finding that his family have gone on holiday without him and he is left alone in the house. To make matters worse, some local crooks have their beady eyes on the seemingly empty property. Kevin must find a way of stopping his home being robbed. In the sequel, Kevin gets lost in New York and in this city of millions of people, comes across the same two crooks vanquished in the first film (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern). Will the dumb, bungling thieves never learn? Review: Good classic - Good product Review: Its Home Alone. - Awesome films. Watch again and again.

Definitely the best two Home Alones in the series
I had been wondering for a while whether to get these two films on DVD or not - I often see them on TV when they are on and always enjoy them. I had seen collections with all the Home Alone films, but Home Alone to me is about Kevin and the rest of the McCallister family so really pleased to see a collection with just these two films. In Home Alone 1, Kevin is accidentally left behind in the mad rush to the airport so the family - mum, dad, brothers and sisters not to mention aunt, uncle and cousins - can go to Paris for Christmas. Cue madness that only a child unsupervised can bring plus trying to catch some burglars, Harry and Marv. In Home Alone 2, Kevin makes it to the airport, but boards the wrong flight so he ends up in New York whilst his family are in Florida. Kevin then causes havoc whilst trying to sort some accommodation and trying to catch Harry and Marv, who have broke free from jail and have ended up in New York. The films are set at Christmas time, but the theme is not Christmas, so these can be enjoyed at any time of the year and is suitable for young kids and big kids alike.

My favourite Christmas films ever. Still enjoy as much as ever. Never tire of watching them. Macauley Culkin, Catherine O’Hara, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern etc. all excellent. Real festive slapstick comedy. Always tear up with Kevin is reunited with his mum
