WD Purple 1TB Surveillance Hard Disk Drive - Intellipower SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch

This hard drive is perfect for my needs. I currently have a SwannView DVR and the hard drive recently failed so i decided to buy a brand new hard drive with more capacity. This 1TB drive was easy to install and all i had to do was format it and then it worked in my DVR. WD drives are very reliable and are always my first choice when buying a hard drive. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs it for their surveillance system.

Western Digital is a great established make and these purple spec disks are designed for continuous use. Bought a DVR from kosher local supplier over the counter but bought this disk to go in it much cheaper than on offer at supplier of DVR. Works great 😊

Best for cctv do your homework go to YouTube Google wd hard drive... what colours mean " Basically it's optomized for cctv worth getting as another's seem to pack up after a while.. If your buying a cctv system have a look at kare system! buy without hard drive which is Toshiba.. Buy wd purple.. All in £160 brilliant system

Works well, very quiet & runs cool. The only disappointment was the Amazon packaging suitable for a DVD and not for a fragile hard drive. I just hope it lasts.

My Yale camera system had gone into a reboot loop and after disconnecting the old HDD it settled down. Found out the drive was a normal 1TB desktop drive so decided to upgrade with this surveillance always on one. Plug n play.

Diese Festplatte ist ja eigentlich für Videoüberwachung gedacht, jedoch habe ich vermehrt davon gelesen das sie auch als Speicherplatte (nicht Systemplatte) für den gewöhnlichen PC sehr gut geeignet sei. Ich benutze die WD Purple als zweite Festplatte in meinem System neben einer SSD, ich spiele Hauptsächlich und mache etwas Office. Für beide Anwendungen ist die Purple für mich der beste Weg aus Geschwindigkeit/Lautstärke. Diese Platte zeichnet sich wirklich "für eine HDD" durch ihren Geräuschpegel aus! Eine der leisesten Platten überhaupt. Natürlich macht sie auch Geräusche jedoch sind diese wie gesagt recht leise. Genau aus diesem Grund habe ich mich auch für genau diese Platte entschieden. Alle anderen Platten von WD sind lauter (sogar die Green) und mit Seagate muss ich gar nicht erst anfangen, kann ich absolut nicht empfehlen als INTERNE HDD, SEHR laut! Extern ist was anderes, da finde ich Seagate wiederum sehr gut. Ich hatte davor eine "Seagate ST1000DM003" und diese ist im Betrieb knappe 10db lauter!!! Viele haben bei dieser Platte geschrieben sie sei leise.. Quascht, sehr laute Geräusche, zwar schnelle Platte aber leider laut. Muss jeder für sich entscheiden was man möchte. Die Performance von der WD Purple ist auch gut bis sehr gut für eine Platte die nicht 7200rpm besitzt. Geschwindigkeit ist im Anhang. Ich hoffe ich kann mit dieser Rezension einigen helfen :), denn ich fand es ziemlich schwer sich für eine der vielen Festplatten zu entscheiden. Ich kann die WD Purple sehr empfehlen, da hat WD sehr gute Arbeit geleistet. Bei Fragen stehe ich gern zur Verfügung.

El disco duro funciona perfectamente, pero haber cuanto dura? esta en prueba de 24 horas funcionando y 365 días del año, esta encuesta se podrá completar después de un tiempo de funcionamiento, no después de dos días de compra. 15/12/2016 Ocho discos WD Purple instalados en diferentes DVR, dos de ellos han fallado después de un año y 5 meses, el fallo es que se han parado y han desaparecido de la gestión del DVR, los saco y los examino con las herramientas de Windows los formateo y los examino para ver fallos y me dice que está todo correctamente, volveré a instalarlos en el DVR y veré, pero ya digo que creo que es un fallo del disco duro

Le disque dur s’installe facilement et fonctionne sans bruit excessif. Idéal pour la vidéosurveillance grâce à sa fiabilité en écriture continue. Bonne capacité pour un usage quotidien.
