Over the years I have spent a fortune on frying pans to hopefully achieve a great pancake, they all state non stick but that does not last long even when you use the thick plastic spatulas to stop scratching. Well... after having this for months now it is still looking like new and it is used quite often. It cooks the perfect pancake and on a lower setting it make a great omelette, it's basically fool proof, my girls have pancakes more often now not just on pancake day and they love it. It cleans off beautifully the temperature adjustment is great for changing from thick American pancakes to crepes. Just one thing, it would have been nice to perhaps have the utensils in a rubber rather than wood as it was quite splintery and the bristle brush lost a few hairs on the plate when adding oil. Thank you Andrew James, I won't hesitate in buying more of your items.

I ordered this in the weeks before Christmas as a Christmas present. Delivery was prompt with excellent service from the carrier but as it was a present, I still had to wait. In the week before Christmas we visited the Continental Market in Manchester and had crepes there - delicious!! After Christmas it was the time to get the Crepe Maker going and even the first fumbling attempts produced crepes that were equally good, if badly shaped. I'm sure I'll get better with practice and end up with good circular crepes. The tools supplied work well, especially the ladle because getting too much batter on the griddle can be a bit messy. However compared to my previous efforts with a frying pan, this is a whole new world of success and really provides an incentive to have crepes on a regular basis. The supplied recipes and instructions work well first time and are easy to follow for the novice crepe maker. I also bought the recipe book to go with it, so now there are loads of crepes to try both sweet and savoury. My son-in-law has suggested we have a crepe party, so that will really test out the crepe maker and the recipe book.

I bought this Andrew James crepe maker to experiment with making crepes. This is a good entry level model at a very competitive price. If you are a novice or is looking to get a crepe maker to make a small volume of crepes at home, this is a good buy. Pros: -It's 10 inches in size, which is the usual size of Parisian street crepes. -As a 1250 watt machine, it generates a sufficiently hot plate quickly. -It's super easy to use and does a fairly good job -I love the crepe making tools (i.e. spreader, spatula, brush) which comes along with the set Cons: -There is no temperature indicator on the heat settings knob. This is important if you are learning how to make perfect crepes. -The instruction manual did not indicate clearly what the red light indicator above the knob. I figured that it comes on when the plate is still heating up and goes off once the heat level per the settings on the knob has been reached. -The hot plate does not retain heat well (however this is not a design fault - this is a functionality only available with heavier cast iron plates) so you might need to wait a while in between making dozens of crepes at one go. All in all. I'm a satisfied customer and you can't go wrong with this crepe machine for use at home.

I bought this as a gift for my mum and dad and they have found it absolutely marvellous. My dad is a big pancake fan and is in his element with it. I went round for lunch to test the pancakes as a form of quality control and they were delicious - had ham and cheese and lemon/sugar (yes - made a bit of a pig of myself I'm afraid). The equipment is easy to use and comes with nifty little tools. As one reviewer noted the plate does tend to burn the brush when putting oil on, but this is only a tiny issue. You need to be quick to spread the batter as another reviewer points out and I am sure with more practice one can become more accomplished. I am not adverse to an untidy fringe! It is easy to clean as in one's enthusiasm some batter may slip down the side. I would recommend this item and I am going to buy one for myself and then everyday can be pancake day! As they say 'the proof of the pancake is in the eating'??

Versand super schnell (kam viel früher als erwartet) Verpackung hatte mich erst etwas abgeschreckt da der dritte karton etwas zu groß war und der durch die deutsche post etwas in mitleidenschaft gezogen wurde :-) aber karton nummer 2 und 3 waren nicht beschädigt. zum gerät selbst: beim ersten auspacken machte es einen sehr guten eindruck, bedienungsanleitung dabei, passender stecker dabei, wurde direkt am nächsten tag ausprobiert, das backen dauert etwas länger als auf dem kirmes, aber vom geschmack her besser als die gekauften! die ersten paar versuche wurden leider nix aber mittlerweile haben wirs raus.. erfordert ein bisschen übung.. negative: -die kelle war/ist zu klein (hat bei uns nie ausgereicht für einen großen Crep) - der holzlöffel zum verteilen des teiges erfordet eine extrem ruhige hand ( mein mann kommt damit klar,, ich leider nicht :-( ) aber da haben wir und noch einen neuen bestellt alles in allem: super gerät und jeden cent wert! wir sind froh es bestellt zu haben :-)

Sehr gut durchdacht mit viel Zubehör. Wir haben ihn für unsere Tochter gekauft. Dieses Gerät hat seitliche Griffe - macht Sinn, da das Gerät sehr heiss wird (haben aber nicht alle Modelle). Temperatur ist regelbar. Powerkabel ist modular, d.h. mit unterschiedlichen Adaptern. Das Zubehör ist von guter Qualität und brauchbar. Die Qualität dieses Sets ist sehr gut. Unsere Tochter hatte vorher ein Gerät aus dem Supermarkt - dieses hielt knapp eine Woche....

Super Gerät wenn man weiß wie es geht. Lässt sich leicht reinigen. Die beigelegte Kelle könnte meiner Meinung nach etwas größer sein.

Das Zubehör taugt nur bedingt was, aber das Crepes Eisen ist wirklich gut. Gelingt super, ausreichende und gleichmäßige Hitze. Würde mich nicht wundern wenn das Ding bei dieser häufigen Nutzung bald den Geist aufgibt, dann bestelle ich aber gleich welche auf Vorrat. Absolute Kaufempfehlung
