Best plug hole strainer ever used, catches so much hair, i i lose loads every wash. And catches towel fluff, not had to un block plug hole since this been in use

I'm just ordering another as a spare. If you are looking for the best of the lot, to fit a 1.75 inch ( 45 mm ) plug hole for baths and kitchen sinks, look no further ( the 3 inch diameter quoted is the over all diameter of the rim, not the sink hole's size ). I have had these before and they stop all sorts of miniature detritus from sneaking through to mess up your drains 'U' and 'S' bends. Being as I'm bald I don't have problems with bath or shower plug and drainage holes but I do have potential problems in my kitchen ( I don't like dish washers ) with the over elaborate plumbing that extends from under my kitchen sink. The filter will fit flush with the top of the plug hole so that a washing-up bowl can be placed on top. The dirty water from the bowl can then be tipped into the sink and it will filter everything through not allowing even fine solids through that may contribute to a latter drain blockage. It won't be of any assistance to silly folk that pour fatty liquid down the drain so that it can solidify when it cools down, but will stop everything else. I've not had a blockage problem in 5 years and you ought to see the crazily long route the pipes take from my kitchen sink to the house's main drain.Eamonn

Not great for kitchen sinks, as you forever emptying it - or then it gets blocked and fills the kitchen sink with water!The mesh is so fine, that it catches every bit of debris of food including ground coffee.Personally, I feel this would be more suited for bathroom use.The product itself is of good quality and does what it’s meant to.I’ll definite use it for a shower to cover the bath plug hole while washing my hair.

Useful and does the job. Just make sure to you get one that fits your sink.

The product is of high quality but it doesn't work well for my intended purpose: the mesh is too fine for a shower. It clogs very fast with soap residue and hair, and is also difficult to clean from the former. As a result, your shower turns into a pond very fast. I'd imagine it works quite well as a kitchen sink strainer. For showers, opt for plastic strains with a coarser strainer pattern.

Holes are small so takes a while to drain when blocked, but that is to be expected. It is easy to lift out and empty into the bin. This is one of the best purchases I have made in a while.

Excellent for our shower

I like how the mesh part of the strainer is sunken so that it stays in the plug hole. Catches everything even small bits of fluff but that’s where it causes problems for me. It stops draining while I’m in the shower because it catches everything, even small bits of fluff and then it’s very difficult to clean the fluff out and so over time it stops working. I do recommend it but it works too well for me.

Hochwertiges Abflußsieb, welches aufgrund der Größe in fast jedes Waschbecken passt. Super Preis-Leistung.. würde es definitiv weiterempfehlen. Hatte schon vergleichbare, welche gerostet sind..dieses hier ist schon super lange im Einsatz und sieht noch aus wie neu!!Super!!

Great, does what it says. The hairs are caught by it, but it's not super easy to clean.
