A perfect addition for any wood working.
I brought this to help make a computer table. I saw it demonstrated at Screwfix live, so knew what it could do already. It is very easy to use, and boy, does it make basic woodwork construction easy! We made the table frame in minutes! Build quality is very good too, all metal construction. I looked at other (cheaper) products out there, and opted to pay the extra for this. The built in clamp is worth it alone, as this is quite possibly what makes it such a quick item to use. We used loose on the work bench, but it does have screw holes to fix it down. I guess if you were using it for light manufacturing (ie. the same action time and time again) then this would be of great use too. Once you have set the clamp for the depth of wood you are using (I was using 19mm spruce and 18mm MDF) it takes seconds to clamp the wood in place then drill the holes. If you use two drills (one with the drill bit and one with the special driver) then the process takes less than a minute. The screws for it are expensive, but they work perfectly. As I use it more, I will experiment with standard bulk buy wood screw. The 'blurb' says it is for using to clamp joints whilst wood glue sets. All the joints I made I glued as well, then used the included screws to hold in place. You could use it with out the glue (which they were doing at the live show), but overall may not be as strong. Other all, absolutely love this product and wish I had brought one years ago!

Great, time-saving tool
The quality of the jig itself is very good. I have done around 400 holes into softwood. All holes are accurate and the jig has little to no signs of wear. It’s fairly small and very easy to set up and adjust. I’ve not used the clamp very much therefore cannot comment on that but it seems good enough although not that ‘heavy duty’. The square drill bits for the pocket screws are the part that lets this kit down. While being an ideal length to drive in screws without the driver getting in the way, they rounded far too quickly which I am very disappointed at. Unfortunately, the return window has closed and I cannot contact the seller but I will buy another brands bits and continue to use the jig. Aside from the poor quality drill bits, I’d say overall it’s an effective tool that is value for money - if you get it on offer.

Great
I bought the trend single pocket hole jig about a year ago but couldn’t get on with it. I thought I’d give another go for all the great things I’ve heard on pocket hole joinery, so I ordered the trend version with a built in clamp. After watching an online set up the experience was night and day. Out of the box after 2 mins I was already drilling my first holes. I would highly recommend after creating seemly strong joints.

Good stuff from Trend
Very happy with the quality of the jig and the price too. Helped me put some frames together with pocket screws and something I'll use again and again.

Good but limited timber sizes
Works OK but limited in timber size. Note - If you want to use it with 45mm x 45mm CLS type timber the second set of fixing holes for the clamp need to be used so 45mm just fits - and even so the clamp doesn't hold unless you hold it. That aside it works well, just be aware it is only specified up to 37mm in the smaller dimension, although also can be used with your own clamp and theirs removed.

Klare Kaufempfehlung. Preis-Leistung passt
