Fantastic Product
I ordered this product because I was fed up with my iPhone 5 running out of battery. I figured that if I had it docked all the while I was at my desk then it would reduce the number of occasions I left the office and it ran out.Well - not only was my theory correct but the product is fantastic. Aesthetically it is beautiful, and goes perfectly with my Apple setup. It also seems to charge the iPhone more efficiently and quickly than a standard iPhone cable and the dock itself holds the iPhone at such an angle that you can interact with it whilst it is docked.Quite expensive I know - but I really do recommend this as a desktop accessory.

Excellent and professional-looking iPhone stand
Very impressed with this - it looks expensive (mostly because it is) and the silver version won't look out of place on your desk. iPhone slots in easily and is supported well by the back of the stand. Needs a bit of jiggling to remove it but nothing too extreme.I was particularly pleased that my iPhone fits into the stand with the case on - I have a fairly thick and robust Gear 4 rubberised case, which I love, and this Belkin stand has more than enough room for that.My only quibble would be the price, as realistically this should be priced at around £14.99 maximum - but if you want somewhere to stand your iPhone on your desk and charge it at the same time, you won't find anything better than this.

A very good purchase
I like this dock/charger very much. I wanted something that would power my iPod touch 5th generation while I'm using it to send music to a speaker via bluetooth (which draws quite a bit of power from the battery) and this does the job a treat. I was surprised by how weighty it is when I got it out of the box. The plastic coated in silver to look like aluminium looks classy with the iPod (which is the silver version hence my choice of colour, although I think this dock would look good with any of the coloured iPods on it!) which sits very securely on the lightning connector in the base. I would agree with other reviewers who comment that is clearly a dock that used to house the larger old style apple connectors, but I don't think this matters to much. The iPod feels secure which is the main thing. It's a bonus that this dock includes the charging cable - many expect you to use the charger that came with your device. You can plug the usb connector at the end of the cable into either your computer or any usb plug adapter. Finally, unlike some third party products I've bought to use with Apple gadgets, you don't get that annoying "this accessory is not supported" message which is reassuring! All in all, a very good purchase.

Great product but needs some redesign to work with a phone case
This is ideal to sit in your office or next to the bed. Good weight and centre of gravity. Cable length is good too. The only problem being that if you have a case on your Iphone, it does not work. I carefully adjusted mine (with the help of a knife, to shave off about a mm of plastic) and it is perfect. It needs a very minor redesign by someone who has a phone to test it with and thenit would be perfect.

Fundamentally flawed in both design and function
Having bought some non-functioning docks before, I really wanted to like this official, 'approved', made-for-iPhone dock, but I can't. There are two simple but critical reasons: (1) despite anything you read in the blurb, the pop-up message that the "accessory may not be compatible with iPhone" routinely pops up. Yes, you can just tap "Dismiss" to make the error message go away, but each time the error message appears, the charging connection is disconnected, so you can't just tap "Dismiss", you have to also undock and then redock your phone. A pain, yes. But even more so when you dock your phone and leave it to charge, have a cup of tea etc, and on returning you find that while you were gone, the error message popped up, and as you weren't there to tap "Dismiss" and redock your phone (and hope it didn't appear again), your phone hasn't charged at all while you left it "charging". What kind of nonsense, useless thing is this if you have to physically sit by your dock to scrutinise your phone for error messages while it charges? (2) the Lightning connector in the dock is designed to protrude, instead of being set in the base of the unit. The latter option would make for a far more solid dock. However, with the connector protruding as it does, docking your phone requires a bit of balancing and jiggling until the 'charging' bolt icon appears to confirm you have successfully docked the phone. As a result of this, the lightning charging port on the iPhone is very quickly eroded on the inside and soon begins to fail. This has happened on two phones used with this dock, so no coincidence. The charging port now requires replacement, which basically means having to take iPhone for specialised repair. In summary, not only has this dock failed to perform the only function it was designed to do - to charge - it has also badly damaged the charging port on the iPhone. It's a double thumbs down and a truly unfortunate purchase.

Works fine with iPhone 5s and a slim case
After I got my new Mac Pro, I decided to clean up my desk a bit. Gone are the random papers and gadgets that used to surround my workspace; now I have a clean desk, and I can see the nice oak beneath my hands and around my keyboard and trackpad. One thing I needed, however, was a better way to connect my iPhone and iPod touch when syncing. I used to lay them flat on the desk and connect them to a lightning cable. But that’s annoying; since the cable connects at the bottom of the devices, I needed to turn them with the cable coming out toward me to be able to see notifications and texts on my iPhone, and that cable gets in the way.So I thought of getting a dock. I queried some friends, and asked on Twitter, and one of them recommended the Belkin Charge+Sync Dock for iPhone. One thing that was important was that the dock fit with the the iPhone and the case I have; an Evutec Karbon Sleek case in teak. The case is only 7mm thick, so I thought the dock should work.Well, it does. The dock fits with the case on the iPhone, and probably with a few mm to spare. It sets the iPhone at a good angle for viewing, and takes up little space. There’s not much that a dock does, other than connect to a computer, and let another device sit on it, but this one is fine. I don’t need a very long cable – as you can see above, it’s on my desk right in front of my Mac Pro – but the cable it comes with is 1.2 m (4 ft). The cable is permanently connected to the dock, so the only downside is that if you need a longer cable, you’ll have to get an extension, and if you want a shorter cable, you’ll have to use cable ties to wrap it up.But it holds the iPhone securely, as well as my iPod touch, and will even hold my iPad Air, but it’s delicate to set that device on the dock correctly. Given that may main need was a dock that can work with my case, this one fits the bill. If you need an iPhone dock, check this one out.

A brilliant stand that does the job
I'd been looking to get a dock for quite awhile after noticing that I seem to keep fraying my ordinary lightning cables.Needless to say, the delivery was prompt and the dock was packaged well. It looked like it was a lot 'chunkier' in the picture than it actually was and this was a pleasant surprise. The cable that comes out of the back of the dock is fairly generous in length, and I just plugged the USB into my normal iPhone plug.I thought I'd broken the dock when I first used it because the lightning connector itself is not static. It's set on a slightly hinged platform which is actually ingenious - it basically means that you don't have to be positioning your iPhone at exactly the right angle to get it on. You do have to press down quite firmly in order to get the lightning connector to 'click' in, but this isn't really a problem. This probably won't fit with a really big case, but it does with a simple click on one; another benefit of it being slightly moveable! The only slight nag I have, which isn't even really a nag, is that there is no auxiliary port to plug in any headphones or speakers. I say this a slight nag, because I didn't even consider it when I was buying it, but it might be important for some others.I'd definitely recommend this stand above the Apple one - It's much sturdier and heck, it actually looks pretty good!

Great stand with no need to take off covers
If you`re looking to use a dock when using internet telephone apps or a bedside clock app for the iPhone it`s perfect.Sturdy and well-built dock that doesn`t fall over easily, far better than apple equivalents.Well recommended

Soddisfatto
