Lake Champlain Organic Vegan Dark Hot Chocolate Mix, 13 Servings, 13 Ounces

I prefer very dark chocolate anything. I do make my own hot chocolate at home where I warm up the milk on the stove and then melt unsweetened chocolate into it and add just a bit of sugar. I find most mixes are way too sweet and way too milky. Was excited to find this one. I do like it in that the cocoa melts very nicely into the milk. Does have a dark chocolate flavor. I still find it a bit sweeter than the stuff I usually make but this also saves me a tremendous amount of time so if I'm in a hurry this is a good choice. It is expensive. I make 20 oz mugs at a time so I'm getting about five mugs out of this single canister. Still cheaper than if I tried to buy hot chocolate at one of those fancy coffee places and I can do it quickly at home. Ingredients are only cocoa and sugar. Not sure what they've done to the cocoa because I have tried to just mix plain cocoa into hot milk before and it doesn't mix very nicely. This mixes very well.

Interesting states vegan but you have to add milk :) Good quality , taste and texture. It is not sweet if that's what you were looking for

Absolute BEST hot chocolate mix ever! LCO makes fabulous hot chocolate, if you’re a dark chocolate fan, you’ve got to try this! Dissolves easily, they it with foamed milk! Sooooo delish! Highly recommend

This chocolate has a low amount of sugar, higher fiber and protein which is why I selected it compared to many other brands. This is plenty sweet for me Which is why I wanted dark chocolate. Standard cacao mix is way too sweet. You can use water or milk. The milk is better because the texture feels a little thicker.

This is definitely the best hot chocolate I have sipped. I have been looking for the elusive outstanding dark hot chocolate, unfortunately to no avail. Despite trying every dark hot chocolate mix on the market, including mixes such as Ghirardelli, there hasn't been a brand that can produce a bistro quality hot chocolate. I have even attempted at making my own concoction of a dark hot chocolate from real dark chocolate pieces, but it was less than eventful. After trying Lake Champlain Organic Dark Hot Chocolate, I am definitely a convert. The texture is perfect and smooth, the viscosity of the hot chocolate is that of a silky smoothness. There is just the right amount of sugar in the mix. Generally there is far too much sugar in mixes, resulting in a saccharin sweet taste boarding on being revolting. This brand is definitely the best mix out there, head and shoulders above the rest.
