Nice quality

Bought these for my mum for Mothers' Day, both to break the scented candle/cookery book mold; to get her something she would be able to use often and with real joy; and something she probably would never think of herself. She was sufficiently surprised when she opened her gift - they come wrapped very well and securely in tissue paper so no worries about them breaking. The box is pretty basic really, might be nice to see a few extra pounds spent on a display box of some description (perhaps along the same lines as the whisky bottle will come in...) They sit very well in the hand, lovely shape, the base especially is just the right blend of delicate curve and solid, satisfying weight. No worries about setting them down a little too hard (after a couple) and snapping the stem. They are surprisingly high quality crystal for the price- they take a really great shine and very little distortion to the glass. I am not a fan of the laser etching of 'The Glencairn Glass' into the bottom - frankly unsightly and not a wise move to try and advertise to people who have already purchased the glass. Perhaps they were hoping for restaurant commissions etc. but I would expect them to put the customer first with a product like this. Overall they perform very well. Whisky is well presented and looks appealing, glass is very thin and gives a very true impression of the colour and integrity of the fluid. Odours are contained very well and this is the real benefit of a dedicated scotch glass over the conventional tumbler. All in all very pleased. My mum loves them and my dad is very happy to make furtive use of one as well. Top stuff. Star taken off for the cheap box and unsightly etching in the base.

Bu bardağı tanıyana kadar viskiden tam anlamıyla keyif alamadan, sıradan bir içkiymis gibi içmişim onu, bu bardakla içtikten sonra bunu çok net anladım. Ya altı üstü bir bardak değil mi, ne farkeder ki? diye düşünülebilir, hatta ben de öyle düşünüyordum. Ama içince bütün bu tabular yıkılıyor. Viskinin bütün aromasını bardağı ağzınıza götürüp, henüz daha yudumlamadan bile alıyorsunuz zaten. Dilim döndüğünce anlatmaya çalıştım ama anlatılmaz yaşanır diyorum. Şiddetle viski tutkunlarına tavsiye ederim.
