This is a really good quality whetstone which is excellent for sharpening my garden secateurs. It's a sturdy and made of metal - much, much better than other varieties on the market.

It’s a very handy size to use on kitchen knives and garden tools. My knives had got very dull, and this has saved them. However, don’t think you can use this on blunt tools like the YouTube videos, which show you using just a few light circular movements for 10 seconds. That is for keeping sharp tools sharp. Using this on a blunt tool needs a bit of force, held at 30 degrees, ‘filing’ away and getting the sharp edge back, working on both sides. Then lightly finishing off both sides, to remove burrs. Both sides are 600 grit, plus you can use the edges as well. It took a few minutes per knife; however, they are now really sharp again. I’ll shortly be using this on the secateurs and I expect the same success. So use this carefully and you won’t be disappointed, just remember to then keep up the maintenance sharpening with a few light strokes on the blade after each use.

Other reviews have commented how small this is, but it's the right size for working on secateurs and very quickly brings a dull blade back to life if you follow the simple instructions. I've also used it successfully on branch loppers and garden shears; it may have other uses I haven't thought of yet.

For a very small sharpener it works very well felco the best

When this arrived I was a little disappointed that it was so small and felt that it was overpriced. Then I used it! This is an excellent tool and did a fine job on everything from small knives, scissors and secateurs to my garden sheers, giving them a very sharp edge. Size is not everything! Edit: Still using more than three years later, it still works very well and with no sign of wearing out or the diamond coating rubbing off.

I have not yet used this sharpener on a Felco pruning blade but I have used it to good effect for easily sharpening kitchen knives.

Worked well on secateurs and larger branch lopper. Used regularly after tools have done work. Very nice durable item. A bit expensive.

Nothing matches this sharpener! I keep it in my flatware drawer and use it frequently to sharpen the knives. Buy it. You won't be disappointed

Efficient sharpening, compact to keep in a small pocket.

Seit einem Jahr im Einsatz und nicht mehr wegzudenken. Meine Gartenscheren lassen sich damit schnell und unkompliziert schärfen und schneiden danach wie neu. Robust, handlich und absolut empfehlenswert! Nach getanem Schnittwerk ein kühles Getränk und den Stein ein wenig über die Scheren gleiten lassen – das ist inzwischen ein kleines Ritual :)

Definitely my favourite dry stone.
